DreamBliss, I want to help you understand things. There is something extremely important you need to know. Women and men do not view sex the same way. I think you are making assumptions about female psychology based on your own male psychology. Your perception is based on the fact that a woman leaving a post like yours would be appealing and you would very likely take her up on it. Things do not work that way in the other direction. The appearance of desperation is an extreme turn off to women. Also, when making an appeal to a woman or women for a possible romantic/sexual connection, making degrading comments about yourself in the appeal counts very much against you.


You need to think in terms of advertising a product, yourself being the product. Would you make a commercial about your product and say in it that you are inexperienced at making money and would really like to make some? Would you have anything bad to say about your product (assuming you are not a pharmaceutical dealer who is required by law to mention side effects)? You need to present yourself as a quality product and act like you really believe it, but not by actually bragging. You need to act like you genuinely have a good opinion of yourself, but you need to show it and not flat out say it, and you (for most women) don't want to come off as too much of a jerk about it. That is the trick.

Solid advice. It's all about marketing.

For example, instead of describing myself as an ungroomed hippie, I describe myself as having "full grooming potential".
Instead of saying that I've never made the effort to get cleaned up, I say that I "may clean up nice".

etc. etc.

Gotta spin this stuff right or you'll never trick them into having sex with you.

Some valid points here, but I'm a firm believer in honesty, not advertising.

I can see how not being willing to send a picture could be a strike against me. So I will send a picture upon request to anyone considering taking me up on my offer who PMs or e-mails me.

Glad to see that others are "hooking up" or at least getting valentines.

Some very good advice of Universal Mind - thank you. But this doesn't have to be something complicated. Girls want t have fun and enjoy themselves just like any guy. Most girls also want to have adventure and romance, like most guys. This is just be offering an opportunity - simple as that. No need to complicate it.

nina, this thread is serious. Sorry to destroy your hopes. Yes there are some people out there who are that stupid or crazy (by society's standards), and you've now met one of them! But let's look at the definition of insanity, "Doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome (or result)." So going to work at the same job every day in the hopes of improving your life even though you never receive a raise or promotion would be, by definition, insane. Yet this is considered not only the norm, but expected in our society. Let me posit this to you... Society, as it currently is, is insane. Think about that for a moment. Anyhow considering the fact that this thread is like nothing I have ever done before I am by definition definitely not crazy, and obviously I'm not stupid. Perhaps you could toss the label, "ignorant" at me and have it stick.

Mark you are correct of course. I will refrain from any further attacks on stereotypes. Just curious though... Wouldn't someone who fits such a stereotype be the only person to be offended by attacks on said stereotype? I mean are you just that good-natured, defensive of everyone, including poor, helpless stereotypes? Or are you such a stereotype yourself, offended at what I said? Like I said just curious. My apologies either way.
