Yeah I do and have for awhile. I skate down alot of big hill where I live. But three days ago one of my bearings fell apart >_<
edit: oh yeah and tips. Be one with the concrete! If you do crazy ass shit it might be good to wear a helmet. This kid I used to skate with, I let him borrow my board to go down a steep hill and he got speed wobbles at the bottom and flipped and got road rash all over and hit his head fracturing his skull and giving him a concussion and an ambulance came and he had to be helicoptered to another city and in the hospital for days. So ya helmet can be worth it. Although I never wear one >_>
When I skate hills you either carve, or you just go all out and go straight and try to not to die from speed wobbles. And then theres all that sliding shiz, but I'm no expert on that although I can kind of do my own slide type things.
And another thing. Soft wheels are great for riding on streets, hills, chunky surfaces, but on smooth ground like at skate parks or other things it is very awkward. Soft wheels thrive and go fast on more rough ground. Hard wheels thrive on smooth ground. Pretty much any trick skate boarding or skating ramps like quarter pipes half pips bowls, ect. It's better to go with hard wheels and a deck that gives you a good sense of control rather than having some funky long board/cruizer shape. You'd be better off with a normal shaped skate board or even something shaped like this

But yeah just get whatever you like.....
