Good. I'd be toking right now if I had a hookup.
Im about to :)
There are less reasons to hate canabis than alcohol, and I love alcohol.
I don't care for it nor about it and believe it should be on about the same level as alcohol; age minimum (18 or so) and public intoxication control.
I never understood "public intoxication control". What is the point?
Well if the entire population was drunk things wouldn't end very well. I understand cannabis doesn't impair you as much as alcohol but it does slow you down a bit.

Never cared for the stuff personally. It makes me feel motion-sick.
I think, though, it should be legalized with age restrictions/regulations etc.
Marijuana definitely should be legal... no question about it. I recently quit after smoking daily for 17 of the last 18 years (I'm 31 now), because it completely destroyed my dream recall. Since LD'ing has become important to me again, I found smoking to no longer be worth the loss of dreams. Also, when you smoke every day for years, it loses most of its benefits.
I did not like your thread because it's just a terrible regurtitation of the DHMO hoax. It is no secret that governments regulate way too many substances, and most of Extended Discussion agrees with the fact that it is problem, because most of ED is fairly intelligent.
Whether substances like cannabis and alcohol should be legal or not are of course a matter of opinion, but it stands to reason that if alcohol is legal, then there is no reason for why cannabis isn't, at least not from a legal perspective.
Yeah, it's no secret, but here you are writing about it. The poster is a satire of the arguments used to classify certain drugs as dangerous, probably most specifically marijuana. The DHMO hoax did something similar, but it used different points. The joke was about using a scientific name most people would not recognize and using points deceptively to make it sound bad. The poster is a straight up satire of drug opposition hysteria. Also, not everybody knows about that hoax. Plus, the point of the thread is to discuss drug attitudes and legalization, not to merely be in awe of a poster.
I don't carry around any or have any pieces, but I don't see a problem. If it's there and I'm feeling it, I'll toke. :P
Both good and bad. Depends on how it's used, under what circumstances and so on. Smoke everyday cuz you got hooked on it ain't good. Smoking every now and then if you're can't fall asleep, having a good time with some friends instead of getting so drunk you can even stand up, then it can be quite nice.
Don't understand how old people can be so narrowminded (not all of'em though). The law says it's bad, then it is. It's written in a book, so it has to be all evil, right? :p Was helping my grandma move to another house some weeks ago, when her brother who is around 60 years told me how I should not get into all of that stuff, with "drugs" and shit. He knew a nice guy, who got criminal cuz he started using cannabis. The crime was that he was using cannabis. Now he is a criminal.
I know. I mean, I said it like that on purpose. That was the "crime" he did, and in the eyes of the guy I know he is now a criminal. He is right though, but it's kind of... I don't know how to put it. Even if the law says it's illegal, you right want to think for yourself sometimes.
This is like when people say we can't have gay marriage because then everyone would turn gay and we'd die out as a species. Not everyone wants to be fucked up all the time, in fact most people don't want to be fucked up(or at least to fucked to function) most of the time.
Get in a car with a drunk driver. I'm not saying if you're drunk you're going to go out and start beating people up for no reason, but you're more likely to do something which can lead to injury.
Pot usually makes people too lazy to want to hurt anybody. It also makes people want to drive very slowly. Most psychedelic drugs make people so wigged out that they don't want to create even the first shred of a problem. They know they wouldn't be able to handle it. Opiates and tranquilizers make people worthless or closer to being worthless, so they are not huge threats. It's uppers (meth, cocaine, amphetamines, etc.) and alcohol that make people more dangerous.
Those are the drug effects alone. When drugs are illegal, addicts are willing to do whatever it takes to get them, and that is way more dangerous than the drugs themselves. Also, the dealers are willing to do whatever it takes to have the biggest customer base possible, which is highly dangerous (Mexican cartels, street gangs, et.). We can thank the war on drugs for putting us in much more danger.
In my opinion you should smoke it, or eat it or something.
^ I prefer vapor, and I want to try drinking it. I'll be making tea in the near future.
