Do you have a crazy ex?

So lately I've been doing everything in my power to remain stress free and do whatever I have to to push my life forward and stay happy, but every day my most recent ex pulls a reason to piss me off and stress me out right out of her ass I swear. Nothing I ever do is good enough, I tried being her friend, but obviously that's not an option. She'll start a fight with me for something I had no clue about and that's not even relevant to anything. She's a paradox in every way and the biggest hypocrite/compulsive liar I've ever met. I care about her too much to just let all my emotions go and verbally destroy her world so I try to ignore her, but then she'll come out of no where acting friendly so what does that leave me to do? I'm just venting because no one person has ever pissed me off as this one has.

TL;DR Crazy ex girlfriend stresses me out and causes problems every day.

Does anyone else have or had a crazy ex? How did you deal with the situation? There's so much information about my situation I didn't include in here so sorry if it's hard to follow. I very well may go insane soon DV. (Assuming I wasn't already.)

I have had two crazy ex girlfriends. You need to tell them that you are not stable enough to even talk to them for a few months. Blame it on you and then refuse to even talk.

I cut off a toxic on again / off again situation this way, though more permanently and more from the "I'm too hung up on you to be friends" angle (not exactly the case - she was someone who used her sexuality to control her environment and I didn't see myself developing an immunity to it anytime soon, but like sivason said, I made it about me). There were some awkward meetings later on where she would probe whether I was still serious and I would give minimal polite responses, but it effectively cut off the toxic relationship, which is more than can be said for a lot of her other exes/friends.

I'm the crazy ex :evil:! Nah, but just tell her to relax, try to be honest and gentle about it. If it's really needed i'm afraid you just gonna have to cut your connections from her, it would be in her best interest aswell.. Good luck!

OP, I don't know the entirety of your situation but I'd suggest doing something like cutting off communication with her entirely. If no relationship you try to establish works, and she only makes you feel bad, just stop talking to her.

And yeah, I have one whom I broke up with a year ago. He just sent me an e-mail on my birthday in which he didn't even say happy birthday and basically just explained how depressed he still is because of me. Which was kind of mean considering it was my birthday. :(

I've realized that most people are sort of insane once you get to know them well enough though. People can have well thought-out belief systems, in which they've considered every angle except for the foundation, which is usually false, making the entire belief system false, and that seems like insanity to me. Or maybe most people aren't like that, but most in my experience seem to be.

I've never really had a crazy ex, because everything just ends explosively with me. Now have I had crazy GFs? Yes. I had this one girl who wouldn't call me at all....she'd show up at the hospital (where I worked at), my barracks, and the skate park in that order to see if I was around. I also dated this girl who wanted me to wipe the sink down with a sponge after every time I washed my damn hands. Oh....I dated another girl who washed her face with water, but never used soap. So yeah....crazy at the end, but when it ends, it ends. Everything between us turns into ruble, and if it doesn't...we're cool later on....but we have to give ourselves space.

Oh man, do I have a story for you. But I won't share that now, because no one cares.
