Can anyone decipher these lyrics?

An old, fairly low quality recording of an 80's prog band. The lyrics are (at least partially) sung in English, but I can't make out most of the words. Any good ears out there, I would be forever grateful if someone was able to figure it out.

I looked around and could only find some reference pages, one of which mentions this was recorded in German. I never listened to it but there are people on the forum who speak German. Maybe one of them will pop in.
