The artists I listen to most are probably Neil Young, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Beastie Boys, R.E.M., The Talking Heads, Tom Petty, Rehab, Matchbox Twenty...Of course I don't just listen to those bands exclusively, but those are the bands that I like most I suppose. I'm not a hipster...I swear...
Metal mainly. I'm currently enjoying Scar Symmetry and Mors Principium Est.
To all the metal fans, you should check out Sybreed, my favorite band. They describe their sound as Death Wave (Death Metal/New wave), but I think it sounds more like Industrial Metal with Electronics elements. Best listened with 12" sub in the car ;)
Anyways, here's the best track in my opinion of each of their albums. Enjoy!
Bioactive - Slave Design
Isolate - Antares
Lucifer Effect - The Pulse of Awakening

I mostly like the slower kinds of music, like Magnet, Morrissey and Leonard Cohen. I also listen to some trip hop, like Massive attack, and I like musicals.

Psychadelic, psychotronic, psychobilly
Lots of things people show me that don't fit into my framework but make me smile.
The Beatles.
