      - I have to book my test before the place closes today.
      - When I get back from my walk, I have half an hour to procrastinate. Then, I must study without any distractions until 8 pm.

I did one but failed at the other, so 4 points.

      ------

I've been procrastinating so far today. Time to get some stuff done...
      - Read 1 chapter by 9 pm. No procrastinating at all until I get it done. Sign off of everything.
      - Practice violin for 20 minutes by 9 pm.

      I did both. 10 points.

      ------

      - Read all of chapter 19 by 9 pm.
      - Practice violin for at least 20 minutes and clean my room by 9 pm.

I didn't do any of that yesterday, so -2-2 points = 6 points.

      - Read the rest of my textbook (1.5 short chapters) by 8 pm tonight (4 hours). *¡¡¡NO PROCRASTINATING AT ALL OR IT DOESN'T COUNT; SIGN OFF OF EVERYTHING!!!*
      - Practice violin today.
      - Decide what I'm doing for mother's day by the end of today.

      -----------

      Did it, 12 points.

      - Read articles and figure out what I'm going to do my project on by 8 pm tonight, and begin a proposal. (no lengthy procrastination)

lol... I just made a table of tasks I need to get done. Beside each task was the expected duration, the level of importance from 1-5, and the level of stress/difficulty from 1-5. After I finished, I realized that the importance and stress/difficulty levels were almost directly correlated. The same numbers +-1 for each of the 14 tasks.

That is rather funny, but I suppose it makes sense mentally. If something is important, I become more stressed and feel guilty at the thought that I need to get it done, and view it to be extremely difficult and stressful. A lot of the tasks aren't even difficult to do at all, but the thought of doing them becomes difficult/stressful as soon as I know it's something I have to do. Actually a couple of the most mentally difficult tasks on my list - editing videos for youtube and organizing my chaotic hard drive - I've rated to be the least stressful, and I'm sure it's for the simple reason that it isn't something I 'have to' do at all.

This has been an interesting discovery which likely explains my tendency to procrastinate over the years.... perhaps I can realize that this is the reason, that those important tasks aren't inherently stressful at all. I'd like to stop viewing them in that way.

The best way to get something done is to make yourself want to get it done instead of needing to get it done.

I didn't think I'd procrastinate today. I woke up, wrote down my dreams and walked without procrastinating much. But now it's 7:15pm and I've done nothing, only played Tetris and browsed DV all day. I find it hard to imagine even doing the Math studying I need to do. It isn't hard. In fact once I actually force myself to start it becomes kinda fun. But how am I going to start? Perhaps I'll try to take your advice, to think about how fun I usually find it. I'm actually bored right now and solving determinants would probably be funner than continuously refreshing my browser hoping for some new post to appear. I keep feeling like I'm going to start any time now, but that time never becomes 'now'. Ugh. Alright, I'm going to have a smoke and then just do it. And even though this thread has died I'll write it in here.

G1: Finish studying up on Chapter 1 in Math. Read all sections, memorize information and do practice problems.
      G2: Practice violin.
G3: Look up how to get a flight refund.

Okay. Fuck the points. If I don't get all of these three things done by the end of tonight I have to post a picture of myself in panties from behind on the 'post pictures of your everyday butt' thread.
*I think I just found my ultimate motivation, it's also turning me on a bit *

Don't do it dianeva. Math isn't that great anyways.

I guess I'll make my goal to read all or most of the book mostly harmless tomorrow because there are other books and things I want to read but I keep telling myself I need to read just one at a time.

I basically did it... except math, I only did some of it but realized it was more than I thought. Yeah, I wouldn't actually post that kind of picture anyway, probably shouldn't have said that and was just trying to motivate myself. Thought about just posting a jeans pic but I don't even have a camera.
