I accidentally fell asleep beside an air conditioner

I heard high EMF is dangerous...

I woke up thirsty and went downstairs to get something to drink. I remember how aware I felt and how creepy everything was. Like something was out-of-place and the world around me wasn't real.

I came back upstairs and turned off the AC. I was wide awake probably from the caffeine I had earlier so I browsed the web on my laptop. My room was lit up and I found myself staring at the ceiling when I saw a dark shadow move across it.

Something like that should have terrified me but I kept my cool like the badass that I was.

The worst thing you would have experienced sleeping beside an air conditioner is a potential for breathing in a high concentration of airborne mold.

As for the vision...like you said...cool like a badass.

      Was this a dream perhaps?

High electromagnetic fields (as well as infrasound) have been attributed to many paranormal phenomenon

Feelings of paranoia and visual hallucinations, particularly shadow people are not all that uncommon.

It’s actually quite an interesting subject.

Overactive imagination. You realize infrasound is just any physical vibration less than 20hz, right? When you wave your hand back and forth you're creating infrasound. A slight breeze is infrasound. The human body radiates EMF. The paranoia is just that. -Paranoia.- Stop letting horrible untested hearsay get in your head.

I sprayed milk all over my keyboard man.

Usually people don’t have full blown hallucinations even when they do have over reactive imaginations. Heck, if I could do that I would get myself a few lady friends.

I'm not saying that you’re necessarily wrong. I mean how can you ever know for sure about any experience?

I agree with Artelis, you really do not need to worry.

While it's true that we are always surrounded by EMF in our homes and daily lives (the sun, lightning are both regular sources) the typically low levels of EMF we encounter pose no health risks.

While anomalies always exist in the world, statistics are generally on your side.

More info here: EMF Explained Series

As for infrasound, you also need not worry. Find some of the typical sources here: Infrasound - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When we first wake up it's common to still feel disconnected, awkward, and even hallucinatory. It's not a sign of anything gone wrong.

Sometimes I wake up and don't even know who I am for a good 5-10 seconds.

This explains your shadowy friend (and is also a highly discussed subject here): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia

I must disagree here. I was awake for a good hour and didn't fall asleep until several hours later. I made the mistake of drinking tea before bed.

Also, just because the human body has it's own EMFs doesn't nullify the research done into man-made EMFs. Look up the documentary Frequency.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
