The Wall. I friggin love The Wall. :D I'm going to be getting the DVD soon. That movie was one of the most creative I've seen. The imagery was so full of emotion and it blew me away. I actually cried at the end, watching the little kids pick up the pieces of the wall. Maybe I'm just a geek (well, we all know that I'm a geek...) but I really saw a lot of deep meaning hidden in that movie. Great stuff.
I also have the CD, of course. ^_^
The Wall is amazing. There is surely a deep meaning in that movie Lost Soul. You are not a geek for crying in the end. Anyone who understands the true meening would cry. There's nothing bad with sawing feelings(feelings of an almost human nature....). Its the only way to break down the wall...
Well favourites:
Animals
The wall
Dark side of the moon
Wish you where here
 Pink Floyd
I have them all! and I mean all the way back to Sid Barrett.
My fav band!
man all who posted here get 1000 extra cool points from me, man their music is so amazing its like an eargasim, i get tingles up my spine when i lisen. wow once i tried to lisen to piper at the gates of dawn while going to sleep, wow was that a bad idea! haha anyone whos heard it knows why.
I can't sleep with good music playing. I always pay to much attention.
I used to have Dark Side of the moon on quadrophonic 8-track.
Used to sleep with it playing in the headphones........
Maybe that explains a little...
1st place - dark side of the moon
2nd place - wish you were here
3rd place - the wall
Hmmm.
1) The Wall.
2) Animals/DSotM/Wish You Were Here
(just because I couldn't pick ONE for second.) The Wall is everyone's favorite, yes... but with GOOD REASON. Mwah. That's one album I just can't listen to one song or just a few songs... when I listen to it, I have to listen to it ALL.. well, really, same with Animals... meh. Anyway.
I couldent possibly choose one...
I love them all from darkside, to ummagumma to, momentary lapse of reason, to the orchestral maneuvers, the wall... I couldent pick one...
They are truely in a class of their own, I have yet to hear anything to match the power of their lyrics and sound.
Edgar Winter frankenstein was good on Quadrophonic 8-track..I remember the days .Quote:

Pink Floyd is great. But since i'm a youngin i have other bands i like just as much.
Lets just say though that if they rose from the ashes all of a sudden and started playing live tours: i would be one of the people there.
I contemplated playing "The Wall" for the school talent show and hiring an English choir and everything. Unfortunatly that came out to a lot more effort than the talent show wanted.
Hey seeker I,m 37 a little younger than you but I remember 8 tracks with 4 programs..kinda bulky like the vhs format.I remember listening to them until I was about 11 or 12..cassettes became popular right around then..My uncle had the coolest 8 track player goin in his car.
I had an 8-track in my 71 Vega! Used to listen to Emerson, Lake and Palmer on it!
I still have two turntables!! w00t! Of course they are nice turntables, with a nice mixer and some nice vinyls.. *drool*Quote:
