I didn't drink on my 21st birthday.

The drinking age here is 18.

But I didn't drink on my 18th birthday, either.

So yeah, have a birthday and stuff.

I've never drank before and I don't plan too.

I hate alcohol, tastes horrible, I have no reason to drink it.

Some types don't taste that bad, like cider. Plus, the taste grows on you, and you don't drink it for the taste anyway. I remember the first time I had a beer I could barely get it down it tasted so bitter. Now I actually enjoy the taste of some kinds of beer and other alcohol, but it's a different type of enjoyment than that of cake or something. It's more subtle and probably takes longer to adjust to.

I respect the decision not to drink from people who have gotten drunk a few times before and didn't enjoy it. But I don't understand people who are against it having never experienced its full effects, or who only have one or two times and had a bad experience or something. (Don't know which you are).

I have no interest in drinking. Is that a good reason for not wanting to drink?

You're making out I said that Alcohol is necessary for fun, when in fact all i said was that it may be sufficient for fun. Learn the difference, it could save your life. Necessary. Sufficient. Different words.

2-alcohol may cause fun

You make out that having fun via alcohol implies stumbling around like an idiot,when in fact that is only someone who is drunk, and I at no point mentioned you needed to be drunk to have fun. That you equate any drinking of alcohol with 'drunk stumbling', its immediately obvious you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Happy birthday, slayer! You know, it's very sad, but I don't remember my 21st birthday at all, and no it is not because I was drunk but I may have forgotten to have sufficient fun or something. Now that my 40th is coming up in less than a month, I will strive to remember to have fun - that does seem like a good goal for a birthday.

I was joking. Well I was serious but I was making fun of myself and don't really care anymore. It's true I was moping a bit a couple years ago because I posted on DV a lot at that time and was kind of expecting one since everyone else seemed to get one. But last year I had just taken a hiatus so I didn't expect anything. I can't say a bday thread has ever been made for me. But it was stupid for it to bother me. Dianeva, I looked at your About Me page, and correct me if I am wrong, but I did not see your birthday visible, but just your age. If your birthday is hidden that might have something to do with why noone ever wished you happy birthday, perhaps.

It was changed at that time (know because I checked) and I must have changed it back.
