I Quit Smoking Today

So yesterday was my last time smoking weed (I don't smoke cigarettes) I have been smoking for about 5 years, but for the last 2 years it's been every single day at least 2 or 3 times a day. I needed a change and i don't feel like spending all the money anymore. Hopefully I'm getting a job working for the union in November so i need to be drug free for that. One of the biggest reasons though was to help me on my lucid dreaming journey. I could hardly remember my dreams anymore no matter how much effort i put into it. Anyway i'll spare you the details unless someone wants to ask a question, i just wanted to share this because it feels good to make a change like this

Thank you my dreams were already pretty funky although pretty dull and short so i'm excited to see where my dreams will take me now!

Don't worry Dave I got this. All my friends (mostly stoners) support my decision. Honestly, I've "quit" only to give in the next day, but I put no intent into actually quitting I just said that I was going to do it. 100% committed this time. Some of my friends have already tested me today, but of course i passed

A few of my friends have quit (though with the intention of it only being temporary) and told me that the less you do it, the less you want to do it. I suppose this might be common sense, but it's nice to know it only gets easier

I've "quit" weed on several occasions, and for various reasons. It's very easy as long as you don't give yourself access to cannabis. So, if all your friends are stoners it may be difficult, but if they're supportive like you say, you should be fine. Even if you have a pound of weed in your drawer, it's really just a matter of telling yourself, "no" and finding something else to occupy your time.

Anyway, congratulations for trying to better yourself. I feel weird congratulating you for quitting weed, but I will agree that a clear and sober mind can be helpful if you are trying to make some changes in your life as well as improve yourself.

And... clean urine is pretty helpful too.

Well the true test arose today when a very good looking friend of mine, who was hanging out with three of her other girl friends offered to come pick me up and light it for free. I somehow found the power within to decline.

The first day i was really stressed out so that was by far the hardest, but so far it's been easy i've only actually wanted to smoke a few times. So it hasn't really been that difficult at all and should only get easier from here.

I was disappointed, the first two nights after i stopped I expected some really vivid dreams, or at least remember more than i have been recently, but i didn't remember more than a tiny fraction of a dream those nights. Last night however I recalled two extremely long and vivid dreams and remembered almost every detail about them too. (one of them was insanely in depth) So i hope this is the beginning of the change i was looking for and I'll be able to get lucid once again pretty soon!

Well weed stays in your system a long time, and effects you mentally for up to a month afterwards, right? So maybe that's why it took a while for you to get a rebound. Here's to hoping it carries on in this fashion!
