Have a safe trip and try to spend as much quality time with them as you can!

Most people my age bitch and moan about how boring it is here, but their idea of a good time is getting shitfaced drunk and looking like a complete idiot. Or, getting stoned and just sitting there staring at a wall. How exhillerating.

Myself, I love going out and taking walks/bike rides through the park. It's so beautiful here, especially in the fall and winter when everything is dead or dying. Then everything comes back to life in the spring and everything starts over again Of course, it does that everywhere else too, but it's sure mighty purdy here

You should have come up for Frontier Days. The rodeos, carnival, and live performances are a blast. I'm not much of a rodeo fan myself, but it's still fun. Ted Nugent and Tesla were here this last year. Great fun

I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip. I wish it was for a better reason but at least you get to see him. The 30th is when I leave to go to Vermont so I guess I'll miss you for longer than a week. Be safe and have fun.

I so incredibly agree with you! I love the mountains, and the cold. And mountain flora and fauna....whenever I'm there I spend the whole time outside practically. Can't do that in Texas because it's usually hot and ugly and, well, it sucks. I'd rather live in WY, CO, or MT and be "bored" than live in the most exciting city in the world.

I have a couple friends that live in Victoria TX, and they hate it down there too. Of course, the one just hates everything anyway. Damn gothy types. ;P

I myself want to move to Utah; probably Ogden. Though, I'd rather be out in the outskirts. I'm not necessarily a secluded person, but I tend to dislike a crowded atmosphere. The landscape there is still beautiful, though a little more barren. But that's OK. I am the wanderer of the wastes, after all ;D I mostly want to move there to be close to my father, but the opportunities in the science and technology world are a lot more numerous there (and I'm NOT moving to California o.o )

The great thing is, although she's stuck here for a while, my girlfriend is totally willing to make the move too. She's a big punk fan, and Salt Lake City tends to get a lot of good shows she'd like to see, so that works out pretty well
