How does the non-automatic health regen work? Like, do you just have to eat food to increase the health? (I never played like this)

I never played online, but I play a lot of singleplayer... and I like minecraft. So I could give it a shot, though I don't have a mic.

Yes... It is good to make awesome gardens. Your buildings are normally more fortifies and well lit. I don't have minecraft anymore, but I might have it in a few weeks. I will def post here if I get it.

I'd love to join!! I've never played on hardcore either, so it'll be interesting.

no, the only way to regen health is through golden apples or health potions. Golden apples cost 8 gold which make them very expensive commodities, health potions only cost 1 gold but you need a blaze rod which is really hard to get. Essentially it's more about avoiding health loss than trying to constantly heal. You don't need a mic, talking through chat will do for most of the time.

btw the difficulty is actually set to medium. This is because the lack of natural regen makes it close to impossible on full difficulty, this version is probably harder than minecrafts own hardcore.

I see... so, I think a pigman farm would be one of my first projects. And I'd probably make a killing selling the gold. That's assuming I don't die 20 times before getting that far, which I probably will. It's not permanent death, is it?

I have a bad habit of being lazy and jumping from high objects and taking fall damage, knowing it will regenerate. So I have a feeling I'm going to end up killing myself. many times.

That would be a good project, a nice source of gold. Though I wouldn't underestimate the difficulty of building up the armor and tools necessary to survive such a farm. Ill add you in a few hours

The first few hours playing I died 5 or 6 times, I haven't died in a few days now and I have a base set up. Eventually you learn the tricks to stay alive.

Lol, buy golden apples? You have to go out and mine gold to make them yourself.

Currently we all spawn at one point, during any competitions people will be spread.

ahhh, lol. Told you I'm sick When you said "cost" my brain took that to mean we can buy them. I didn't know if it was from Villagers or what. I've never played on line before (I've logged in to a couple of games but my FPS was too bad to stay).

Tried joining the server but received this error: "Carbuilder, who the hell are you?"
I log in as Zhaylin, but is my email addy my actual log in name? Or is the server only available at certain times?

The title is carbuilder who the hell are you it's not an error. The server sleeps and shows up as off, just click it anyways. I forgot to actually add you to the whitelist.

Sorry bout the inbox btw, as a DG I had a higher threshold, then when I left I had 250 PM over the limit

Wow... did I just spend 6 hours on your server For as little as I accomplished it seems like I was only there for a couple!
I've been cheating for so long I've almost forgotten how to build a house. My monstrosity is out of proportion I'm used to flying so I can take in the bigger picture when placing my attic dormers.

I've found NO gold. So I just play until I have 2 food left and then I store everything and drown myself (I'm making a moat around my house- darned Creepers, that'l teach you!).

Dutch, am I right in guessing that you can recreate a dreamscape from an LD and show it to us?

That's a great idea, though fairly hard to achieve in survival mode. I might actually go about doing that, it would a cool project

Also would be cool to put a video of it on here. It doesn't have to be on survival mode, you could put it on easy mode and on a different server of course. But it would be sweet for other people to actually be in your dreamscape.

Ouch. At 3.5 hearts. From not having food.

I thought I was going to die. I was climbing out of my hole when I realized, "Crap, I'm going to starve!" Two seconds later, my health bar started diminishing... I started running in circles like an idiot until I spotted a cow and lunged for it. Killed it, then punched a tree, made a crafting table, made a furnace, cooked one piece of steak, and ate it (still hot). So I survived... for now.

But I've got a wheat farm started in my hole. So that's something.

I went to the nether! I wanted to get soul sand and nether wart. found the soul sand pretty easily, but didn't see a nearby fortress.

However, I couldn't for the life of me manage to sync up my own portals... i did the conversion and had them built on the same coordinates. Going from the nether, I make it to my base portal. But going from my base portal, I end up in someone else's portal. I couldn't figure it out and got tired of towering up and whatnot, so I just gave up on the nether for now.

Yup, there's a lot of nether portals around base camp. Hence why I went out so far away. Not sure how far you have to go, Im certain its more than 500 blocks anyway.

As for nether warts, and blaze rods..It took a lot for time to get them, but I haven't died yet and probably wont. Next step is the Ender dragon.
