Now that I remember, Ashleigh Brilliant has some pretty hilarious quotes. He's actually where Despair Inc gets a lot of their slogans.

"Don't try to cheer me up--it is only my strong negative attitude that keeps me going" ~Ashleigh Brilliant

"I didn't ask to be born--but then, who did?" ~Ashleigh Brilliant

"Sometimes I need what only you can provide: your absence." ~Ashleigh Brilliant

^This one really cracked me up. I am SO going to say this to the next girl who hits on me.

“Ah, but it is hard to find this track of the divine in the midst of this life we lead, in the besotted humdrum age of spiritual blindness, with its architecture, its business, its politics, its men! ... I cannot understand what pleasures and joys they are that drive people to the overcrowded railways and hotels, into the packed cafes with the suffocating and oppressive music, to the bars and variety entertainments, to World Exhibition, to the Corsos.” - Haller (protagonist) in Steppenwolf, Hesse

"When you listen to radio you are a witness of the everlasting war between idea and appearance, between time and eternity, between the human and the divine" -Hesse, Steppenwolf

"Better learn to listen first!" - Mozart in Steppenwolf, Hesse

"You have heard your sentence. So, you see, you will have to learn to listen to more of the radio music of life. It'll do you good." - Mozart in Steppenwolf, Hesse

The progression of learning to understand society and how to be a more open, whole, and intelligent individual as it takes place in Herman Hesse's Steppenwolf.

"Not all who wander are lost." - J.R.R Tolkien

“Friendship is born at that moment when one man says to another: "What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . ."” - C.S. Lewis

“We are the cosmos made conscious and life is the means by which the universe understands itself.” - Brian Cox

“I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. I have approximate answers and possible beliefs and different degrees of uncertainty about different things, but I am not absolutely sure of anything and there are many things I don't know anything about, such as whether it means anything to ask why we're here. I don't have to know an answer. I don't feel frightened not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without any purpose, which is the way it really is as far as I can tell.” - Richard Feynman

Humans live by their hearts beat; the beat is a systematic repetition. In other words, rhythm. Indeed, whatever you're doing rhythm is the most important. When walking, when eating, when fighting, when making love, when talking rhythm is essential. - Same as above

Thumbs up Memorible Speech about Humanity Between Fayt and Albel

One of the reasons why I love the game, Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time and Albel Nox~

Albel Nox: "There is no end to people's desires. If you want to control the masses, you have to throw away the carrot and use the stick!"

      Albel Nox:
"Compassion? Seeing things from another's standpoint? You know nothing about the real world.

What if someone important to you were starving right before your eyes? Would you still be concerned about people you'd never even seen before? Are you saying you'd continue to lead a life of hardship just to help people you don't even know!?

      Listen up, Fayt!

After all is said and done, we (humans) are creatures that are only able to think about ourselves and a very limited number of people around us."

Spoiler for THE MEANING OF LIFE:

(in free translation, probably with mistakes):
"Enjoy your life in System by maximizing your wins and losses - but don't become addict. Get rid of anger at the way how the system works, at clear injustice, unfair advantages, brutality, callousness, lies. It's a world purposely designed as a predatory - by this it can be a great learning-machine." ~ R. Monroe.

I read this in an article today and it was very motivating for me because of the current events in my life.

"Breakups are hard, but you will move on and find someone who will make your world go round again. You can either dwell in the past or break free and zoom into your future. There are many fishes in the sea, but you have to pick the right one. If it’s meant to be, it will be. You don’t need to worry about that. Destiny has its ways and we just have to embrace the cards that it hands out to us."

      - "If you kill a hundred men you will be called a great warrior, but if you save one life, you will be called a god." - Indian action movie " Bahubali "
      - "Whens the last time you did something for the first time?"
      - " Wow man, like, killing people is heavy." - A stoned kid being interviewed for television about school shootings
      - "What if after you die you wake up holding a bong being surrounded by aliens and they ask you if it worked?"
      - "If there's a book you really want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it."
      - "I'm having trouble reaching sleep paralysis. Any tips?"
      - "It was in the middle of winter that I finally discovered that there was within me an invincible summer." - Albert Camus
      - "And in my vision, I saw the horses and the riders sitting on them. The riders wore armor that was dark blue and yellow." - r/MinionHate
      - "Prolonged indecisiveness that eventually leads to missed opportunities."

      - "Events like that make me feel like my concept of reality is broken. A couple hundred miles away from the US, >200000 people died in a day. And it happened five years ago. And I barely remember it. Just given all the stuff we freak out about, it's so bizarre that this doesn't register. This event was like 60 9/11's. Or 120 Hurricane Katrinas. What the hell?"

      - "Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot."

"Don't kill and don't be killed, OK?" - Undertale
The whole lyric to "Blue Sky Mine", a song by Midnight Oil

      Related to the band "XTC":

"Some see the world as a stone; concrete daubed in dull monotone; your heart is the big box of paints." ("Wrapped in Grey")
"For a heart without love is like a song with no words and a tune to which no-one is listening; so your heart must give love and you'll find that you'll shine, like the rain on the leaves you'll be glistening." ("Beating of Hearts")

True racism is near nonexistent, prejudice is however prevalent in every facet of the US social apparatus, so then why are decent peoples, of both spectra, so quick to hide their genuine concerns when it comes to political manipulation of the media? Conditioning is the answer, assuming you're too stupid to understand the question. - John Dewey Scribbles

      I think therefore I am

      As above, so below

Don't question the madness, go with the flow

      The only constant is change

      The silence is deafening
