Happy 11th Birthday DreamViews!!

In 2003 on June 18th, a forum was added to the DreamViews website, which is now the awesome place we all know and love today. DreamViews has helped spread the word about lucid dreaming and teach those that would like to lucid dream, how to. With the help of great people, it has become the best resource and community on the internet for anything dream related.

Other than seeing what the site used to look like, you can find your old posts from when you first joined. You could just search on here but the benefit of the wayback machine is that it shows how it looked at the time.

I’m really happy to be a part of such an amazing community, I've met a lot of great people and have had a lot of fun here. Along with wishing DV a happy forumversary, please reminiscence and share how DV has impacted you.

I remember when I joined the site was celebrating a year with dancing muffins in banner. Archive.org unfortunately did not save the banner

Since then though I've met a lot of really awesome people, notably limitless who I've been happily dating for nearly 3 years. Also have hung out with ninja (lolbanned though) a bunch of times and met Burke and Artelis. Glad chat was finally fixed in time for the 11yr celebrations, maybe ownership will get creative with banner again? Come to think of it the site has changed a lot, chat's been pretty close knit though.

In other news, discovered tonight the oldest active member on the site is Neo Neo, member #11!

What I like is that the community hasn't grown bad over the years. Over the years?

Shhh, you'll get in trouble for that!

Same situation for me, though... (admin are aware.)

I was adopted/raised by PercyLucid when he was admin, and we're still in close contact outside of DV.
I also became friends with Atras a few years ago, and we talk every day now.
I am yet to meet anyone from my side of the world in person - that is such a cool story, TheUnknown & limitless!

I have enjoyed reintegrating into the community recently, and getting to know members from both older and newer generations.

I am super task-oriented, so Task of the Month, Dream World Academy, and the various lucid task subforums that have sprung up over the years have been a great source of motivation for me.

Looking forward to spending many more years on DV!

And I'm equally happy to have had some meetings. And in my mind the weirdos are the ones who don't remember their dreams. What a waste of one of life's most rewarding activities. HB, DV! Such an awesome place that has made such a difference in my life.

Happy birthday! I have been a member here the whole time except the first 9 1/2 months.

I joined in April of 2004. I had been debating the Iraq War on a very regular basis on Nonviolence.org (which no longer has a discussion forum), and I was getting burned out on it. I joined this site so I could have a place to have peaceful discussions about far out topics like lucid dreaming and universal consciousness. This was my non-confrontational alternative to Nonviolence.org. The next year, the Religion/Spirituality forum was created, and I found myself having heated debates all the time. In 2006, the Iraq War became the huge topic in Extended Discussion, and I was way up in it. Then zillions of other political debates started breaking out. (I remember when Extended Discussion was completely ignored. That didn't last way too long.) This turned into the best debate site I could name (though that has died down here in recent years). There is so much irony in that. I keep thinking about leaving Religion/Spirituality and Extended Discussion behind and just discussing lucid dreams, OBE's, and meditation. I have been considering that for years, but I'm an addict.

Joined in 2010, haven't posted much tough. I'm not very active in the community, I'm kind of a lurker and probably nobody knows me, but I gotta say that this place is pretty awesome. Everyone is super nice and cool, such a nice community. I've learned a lot in here. Happy birthday DV and I hope this keeps being the awesome place it's always been for a long, long time. And I hope everyone here keeps being awesome.
