What Do You Love About Dream Views

I searched the other sites on lucid dreaming and lucid dreaming message boards but this is by far thet best. One of my reasons-

I have yet to see an ad for Britsish phone pyschics, hell i have yet to see an ad

It's just the frankness, and the occasional flame wars you can watch from the sidelines.

Honest....loving? Are you sure? No, I'm kidding. Maybe I've been hanging around the philosophy forums too much. Flame wars up the heinie in there.

Sorry, we're talking about what we love about DV.

I'll add one more. The vast variety of opinions and responses you get to any one topic.

I think the best thing about it is the huge wealth of information on lucid dreaming, information you wouldn't find anywhere else... everyone is continually experimenting with different things and discussing it and posting their results and developing new methods. Of course the community here is great... I love it lol and it's very addictive.

The people, for sure -- that core community that remains after wave and wave of n00bs. It's so open, because if people do stay, they eventually become absorbed into it, like ITM and Staashiido...and myself, of course. You get to know everyone, and they get to know you. If you really want to be a part of it, and help out, it shows, and you get rewarded for it.

Also, the openness and somewhat casual atmosphere. I go to one forum, the Zelda Universe Forums, where they absolutely forbid double-posting, and lock topics that "don't have enough effort put into them" from the start. It's very uptight. DreamViews has its rules and social morays, for sure, but it's nowhere near as rigid as ZU.

frankly the answer to every question on lucid dreaming I've ever had and countless questions I would never have even thought to ask are here. The site is also pretty reliable, I've been on forums that are usually down and this certainly isn't one of them. The site looks great and has no ads whatsoever. Last but not least we have a good mix of people here, it's certainly an interesting mix of opinions and philosophies to say the least.

The fact that there's so much concise information on lucid dreaming on the main website. When i first read that, it made me want to get started right away!
The people. Apart from a few idiots (which you're going to get in any setting, not just on a message board) everyone here is really friendly and helpful. I've made quite a few 'net friends' Most of my MSN contact list is DV!
I like being a Dreamguide, i like being able to help the people that were once as new as myself.
I'm still picking up hints and tips from other members. I have to thank Deja Soul for recommending peppermint tea as an aid to recall. IT WORKS!
Other than that, it's a cool place to chill out when i'm not doing anything.

I love the peeps, and the sense of community. We are the keepers of a reality that most people either do not know exists, or dismiss as being unimportant!

In my mind, that makes us family and very special.

What I love about Dream Views.....there are so many reasons, I cannot name them all! Truth is I have gotten alot of people interested in it Via my Dreamin of Gamin DJ. Maybe I can name them all:

      ~Icedawg helped out my website
~I can talk about LDing w/o getting the 'I don't understand', or getting insulted
~Being a natural really has its benefits on here
~Made a lot of friends, especially w/the admins, Dream Guides, & Mods
~I get to tutor many people on here, when many in my school weren't interested
~I have gained support for Dreamin of Gamin (Seeker helped me debug it)
~I got to know splash, b/c of it.
~Learned not to Self-Destruct in a LD so often
~Currently learning how to conquer fears
~And more that I cannot say!

The fact that the people here share an interest with you, and you can discuss it without people thinking I'm weird.

The fact you can hit ten people with just your own ego, wether it be a small shriveled up one ilke a prune or a big, fat one like...a doughnut. Minus the great hole in the middle so you can pass it off as your wedding ring when things get really pressing!

I have to say, along with about EVERYTHING every one has said, I like that this place Is ALWAYS up to date. Almost every other forum about dreaming/LD is always down or barely has any commotion at all, its practically dead. But, Here, It never fails to log in and see at least about 100 new posts a Day!!

      Love you guys

Ahem... This never leaves the thread.

What drew me in was the way the website looks. All the other websites are just plain annoying to look at. DV is very calming. Also, everyone here is so eager to help everyone else. We all have pretty much the same goals and passionately believe in encouraging each other to achieve those goals. It just feels like home.

And I really like this emoticon which I've never seen before:

      (Hee hee)
