It's impressive but I was expecting more impressive so it was disappointing. I couldn't zoom into the wood texture on a house in the far distance or anything.

I believe some people stitched together an image of Leonardi DaVinci's fresco The Last Supper, consisting of probably several trillion pixels. I swear, it was gigantic.

Semi-related, the company Phase One recently released an 80 megapixel digital back for medium format cameras, which I believe is the largest resolution production sensor in the world?

Only 40 grand!

And Jeff, it is picture's stitched together, if you look at my link it shows evidence of this.

It's obviously just done in photoshop or something too.

IMO it's more impressive to take a photo of something not so far away (i.e landscape) but of actual things. I'll see if I can get the link off my brother, he found some pretty cool ones a while ago.
