      I don't want kids?! normal?

I was in my baby sisters room watching her as my mom was in the kitchen cooking. My sister was laying on her back when she started throwing up her milk and her mouth started to fill with it. I didn't know what to do so I picked her up and held her up so it could waste out of her mouth normally and screamed at my mom telling her she was throwing up. By this point I was sitting on the bed with the baby wiping off her mouth and stuff, 20 seconds later my mom still isn't around. She was literally taking her SWEET time getting to the room to see what was up. Nevertheless, that was one of the most stressful things I've been through during my teenage years. I never want kids now from that one experience. Their too fragile. My mind was racing as I thought about what to do, I thought the best option was using common sense and picking her up off her back. I don't like how my mom leaves her un attended for long periods of time while she goes to shower or cook or something..it annoys me honestly. I just get so worried about my sister being in the room alone for these exact reasons so I take it upon myself to stand in the room and watch over her. Sigh. There goes my future of wanting kids. My anxiety went from 0 to like 100 in a matter of seconds. I don't want to experience anything like this ever again. Like what if in the future, I'm at work and my wife is home alone taking care of the kid. How in the world would she know the babies throwing up or something while she's showering? D: I'll need to find a girl who doesn't want kids either.. The terrified look on my sisters face scared me even more.

      Don't be afraid

I think you shouldn't be afraid of your future kids dying. Instead you should think about the big blessing children are
Sure there are some hardships sometimes but that shouldn't stop you... And if the girl you'll have a baby with really cares about your baby she wouldn't let it alone for a long time (please don't take this as an offense against your mom)

And there are "aids" like a babyphone or a movable bed which she could take with her and put it in front of the shower (if she's alone with the baby) or with her in the kitchen

And if it bothers you that your mom let's your sister alone just talk with her about it
I know it's hard to tell your mom that you don't like a way she does something but even if she doesn't change think about how well she raised you

      Or just simply PRAY

Well you was once like that as well. No need to worry that much, just look at the baby animals. Nobody cares about them that much as people do (sometimes even exaggerating) and yet there are still animals around.

I don't want kids either. They're not for everybody. I think it's okay not to want kids, but I don't even care if it's not okay. If not wanting kids is wrong, I don't want to be right. What a pain in the ass it would be. Plus, I have watched having kids turn too many of my friends into lame asses, and I don't want to go that route.

What is your "normal"? Focus on figuring that out.

[Shrugs] Personally, I'm happy having no children, much less a spouse. Just because I'm responsible doesn't mean I like having responsibilities. Heh.

Totally normal not to want kids. Don't let people who have made different life choices are you feel like it's not.

I want to have kids myself but sometimes I wish I could skip the baby part lol
Seeing those fictional TV shows where parents don't get any sleep and have to take care of the baby +/- 24/7 makes it look less fun

Oh well, it's only for 18 years, maybe longer, maybe my kids take care of me someday :^)

I personally don't want kids either. They just seem like they'll take the fun out of your life.

If it makes you feel any better (maybe, maybe not?), according to Time.com.... kids cost a lot of money. Why the $245,000 Cost of Raising a Child Shouldn't Stop You From Having One | TIME

The article is about how to still figure it out, despite the cost. But imagine not having to deal with that cost in the first place...

The world is overpopulated as it is, I think not wanting kids is actually a good thing. Personally I barely make enough money to cover my own expenses let alone supporting someone else. I don't particularly want kids I wouldn't really want that kind of responsibility, plus I have no idea how to raise a child there's so much stuff I would need to know. However, having said all that if I found a partner with a decent income who wanted kids I wouldn't be completely against it. One thing I am against is partnering up with someone who already has kids, mainly because if I did want kids I would want them to be my own. I know it's selfish but if you don't like it that's your problem not mine.
