No offense taken, and you just answered your own question.
I've met some really cool people, here at Dreamviews. I've been here for about 8 months, so it is safe to say that I'm comfortable posting something of that nature without hoping for replies. I'm the type of person that treats everyone like I've known them for years, and I enjoy getting the same. Off topic discussions are open for subjects of all kinds, and I've gotten pretty used to posting all types of things here. I posted what I did because I had nothing else to do at the time, and it was on my mind. Some people view message boards differently than others, and since I'm here often, I see it as just another environment for communicating with people. If you signed up for a club down the street, where you get to meet a few times a week with people you, at first, didn't know, wouldn't you begin to develop some sort of communicatory relationship with them over 8 months? And if so, and your father died one night, would you find something wrong with saying something that relates to the death of your father?
I guess the easiest way to answer your question, without going back into the fact that I think I've met a few people here who may care as much about the loss of my father as I would about the loss of theirs, is that I wasn't going to sleep any time soon, and coming to Dream Views was a lot better than staring blankly at the walls and descending into mental anguish at the loss of my dad. What I posted was an impulse. It wasn't necessarily Meant to be replied to, per se, though I'm thankful that it was.
