What's your worst "falling asleep in public" story?

Has anyone had any funny, awkward, or embarrassing moments after falling asleep in public?

      Spoiler for My Not-So-Family-Friendly Story:

On a side note, I always had the irrational fear in college classes that I would fall asleep in class, my muscles would relax, and I would fart loud enough to wake myself up in time to see the whole class staring and laughing at me. It never happened, but it was a serious anxiety of mine.

      This happened to me.

I had an admirer in high school who always sat next to me on the bus. I didn't care for him too much, but didn't have the heart to tell him. One day when the bus was still quiet and gathering people I fell asleep with him sitting next to me. I let out a massive one. So loud I woke myself up. Looked over and the horror on his face was priceless.

He didn't talk to me again after that. Wasn't too concerned though, that problem took care of itself.

This was a good idea for a thread. I enjoy reading funny stories like the ones you guys told. I can't remember a time I fell asleep in public though. Most of my awkward moments happened while awake sadly. >//_//<"

One time in 1st grade, I fell asleep in class. I recall that it was in the morning and I wasn't feeling too well. I could feel myself snoring because I must have been that sick that I fell asleep in class. Then the teacher, Mrs. Ladd slammed her pointer down on my desk, woke me up and started to yell at me. Then I remember that I threw up all over my desk and the floor. Then I was sent home.
Another time, When I was in 5th-grade, I slept over at the Museum of Science. It was one of those class trips. Apparently, according to someone who was there, I was "meowing" in my sleep. My friend told me to go back to sleep. So, I did. The next morning a friend told me what had happened the night before. I was super embarrassed about it. I'm not sure if anyone saw it, though.

I remembered another one yesterday. I was on a weekend trip with the youth group from my church, so all the guys were sleeping in one room and all the girls in another. On this trip was this one girl that people seemed to think I had a thing for (I think she had a crush on me, but I didn't like her, and I hated when anyone tried to pair the two of us together). I don't remember what my dream was one night on the trip, but I remember shouting this girl's name in the dream and suddenly waking up mid-shout. I looked around in the dark to make sure no one heard me and went back to sleep, thinking it was just a dream. In the morning, one of the chaperones made a comment about how someone was shouting a girl's name in their sleep the night before, but they didn't know who it was, and I didn't dare tell them it was me.

I tend to fall asleep on planes once they take off. Most of the time, it's nearly immediate. It doesn't help that I always pick the back-corner seat. Well, every time so far the steward(ess)s have to wake me up once every one else is gone, either by shaking or angrily shouting. Some day they're going to leave me on the plane. My favorite was when I was assigned a hall-seat, blocking two passengers to my left; I woke up and miraculously a dude wasn't there-- only the a woman, who mistook me for a guy, remained there (I enjoy dressing comfortably). Either he had to've parkoured over one of the seats or he dissipated into the plane.

Another time, I fell asleep when I was on the school bus on my way home from school. I didn't wake up until the bus stop for the night. I remember that I was really scared and I was super embarrassed.

When I was going through ACAP during the process of getting out of the army (classes that teach you how to translate the skills you've learned in a way that employers understand and in a way that it makes you look appealing), in between the day long classes, representatives from various universities were trying to convince people why their university is the one to go to. Anyway, I was sitting right in the front at a table, and when I was in the army there was never a moment where I wasn't tired enough that I could fall asleep whenever I wanted or, more unfortunately, by accident (on a side note, god I miss the ability to go to sleep within 5 minutes anywhere and any time I decided I want to, but I think the price you have to pay in rigorous exercise and being deprived of sleep on a regular basis is too high for me to care about it).

As a representative was giving his pitch to the class, suddenly I wake up and realize my head was tipping backwards with my mouth wide open, and my front row seat made it easily noticeable to everybody. Instantly I got scared I was gonna have one of the NCOs in my class take me out of the class room and smoke me for falling asleep, but lucky that didn't happen. The person that noticed me fall asleep was none other the representative himself too. He made a little joke about the information being a little dry but we should try to stay awake, etc.

I had to wait for an appointment at my college and it was delayed, I tried killing time by reading a book but I ended up falling asleep in the middle of the room. A classmate woke me up to tell me that I could finally speak with the teachers.

Haha! I fell asleep out in my yard, just today. Technically, it was not exactly in public, like at school but, I ended up waking myself up by snoring loudly enough that I fell off the bench in the yard. My brother laughed at me.

No really embarrassing stories here, except for being asleep at my grandmothers and waking up because I pooed EVERYWHERE. I must have been sick or something because I was 9, 10 years old or so. Grams was a real champ. She put me in the tub and cleaned everything up without making a single fuss.

Other than that, I fall asleep inappropriately like: while driving; having a Bible study; in huge conventions (religious and otherwise); while actively having "expected" sex Being a hermit has its perks. I eventually discovered that when my anxiety is boiling over, I fall asleep. The only thing relevant to my life now-a-days is driving and (very rarely) small social functions.

What's funny is that, for a time, I can still go through the motions of life once I fall asleep. I've written some really silly stuff while taking notes in my sleep. I've also said things like 'clean up your room' while "performing" for my ex.
People would just get mad at me "I see I'm not important enough to stay awake for". But it's beyond my control.
