Cool I got bored, so I made a game in 5 hours.

I got bored and decided to make a game about a dream in a coding language/IDE called QB64 in 5 hours.
Here is the link to the game's page:
      https://gamejolt.com/games/lucid/285803

My plan with this game is that the community here can suggest what to add.

I got it loaded and it said "press any key to start." However, any key I pressed showed up on the screen but did not start a game.

A game about a dream sounds fun. I want to play!

I should probably change that to "press a key then hit enter to start".

I got the game to work. It seems like the object of the game is in making a decision and seeing what happens upon making that decision.

This reminds me of the "choose your own adventure" type of books and other text based adventure games like "Oregon Trail."

I was basically aiming for a text based game because in the language I am using, creating graphics sucks to do.

I would think an exploration based game would be easiest to make. By that, I mean that making different choices would lead to different storylines that would lead to different choices, ect.

I imagine it would be much more difficult to implement items that could be gained or lost, but if it isn't, there could be an attribute such as stability that goes down over time, but could be increased by doing stabilization techniques. The level of stability could influence the chances of waking up. Lucidity and dream control could be other attributes that could be gained or lost.

I have finally updated my game. I don't know if this would be considered necroposting, but here it is. Also, THERE IS NO WAY I could learn to make those mechanics before I lose interest in the project again, but certain events and decisions DO make you wake up or make you lose lucidity.
