WHY DO I FEEL SAD? ★ What do Emotions Really Mean?

      Hi Guys,

I thought I'd try an experiment in exploring topics that orbit lucid dreaming, such as psychology, emotions etc.

So, here's the latest video - exploring our relationship to emotions.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and see what discussion it generates.

Has being a lucid dreamer improved your ability to deal with emotions, or changed your perspective towards them?

I'm not a lucid dreamer and I can't get your video to play (my internet is being wonky).
SO, I apologize if I'm completely missing the mark.

I've always been an extremely active and vivid dreamer. I can remember a dream I had when I was just 4 years old- THAT'S just how long I've been fascinated by dreams lol.
A lot of times, my dreams tip my off to my emotional state before my logical mind does. I'm 43 years old and I'm just now starting to pinpoint some of my tells.
For instance, I'll dream about driving and getting lost MONTHS before taking a scheduled trip. My dream tells me I'm stressed about it even though my conscious mind hasn't picked up on that fact
Dreams about drowning, or about being blown away while flying, let me know I'm feeling overwhelmed by something.

I always try to pay attention to my dreams because they let me glance at my innermost workings which further allow me to better know myself.

I'll try your video again later. I've always been interested in this subject

Great video (and I love your voice) but I'm not sure I'm in complete agreement.
My internet may not be wonky at the moment but my logical mind might be

I agree, that emotions aren't destinations. Yes, our experiences at the moment can skew our perception of events and trigger certain emotions.
But, we're more than base instinct and chemistry (which is where my "logical mind" could be floundering- it seems you're suggesting that?)

I like the idea of "signposts" which seques (I almost wrote segway lol) into dreaming.

"Has being a lucid dreamer improved your ability to deal with emotions, or changed your perspective towards them?"

My dreams ARE my signposts for the most part. I'm content with life 95% of my waking life. It's my dreams that reveal I have underlining emotional turmoil about something.
