      Do you stomp on bugs/insects?

      do you just stomp them

or do you stomp and grind/drag (which) them?

If you do the former, well it's a million x smaller than you, why?

If you do the latter...you're evil.

I usually try and catch them to feed them to my scorpions. Unless it's a spider, then I run like a 250lbs man running from a spider.

Hell no. I don't even kill stray spiders in my house. I always pick them up and put them outside at least......

Haell yaheh!!! If they look at me funny!

I respect all innocent consciousness, except I have one flaw. I absolutely despise cockroaches. I can't fully explain why. Whenever I catch a roach at my place, I don't kill it immediately. I pick it up with toilet paper and put it in the toilet. Then I put strips of toilet paper on top of it so it will start to drown. It will crawl around it and get to where it can come up for air. Then I do the same thing again... and again... and again. After a while, the whole surface of the toilet water is covered in paper, and the son of a bitch has nowhere to go. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! I know it's not the roaches' faults for being roaches, but screw them! They need to keep their nasty, slimy, crawly asses out of where I live! I don't go to their nests and threaten to crawl down THEIR mouths when they're asleep!!!

It depends. If there are any ladies nearby, I show them my sheer manliness by stomping on a bug 1/10000 of my size. If there are no ladies around, my buddies and I take the bug back to one of our houses and torture it

lol i hate to break it to you but girls are very friendly to bugs outside..i don't think a girl would appreciate you stomping it in front of them. if you don't believe me, then try it and you'll see

lol well technically since it seems like you only kill them indoors, you don't stomp them...and i'm surprised that a girl would be that cruel to bugs ..oh wait, i forgot girls do hate bugs in the house..

I have two black widows in the house. One of them lets me handle her regularly.

Funny you bring this up now - out on a job today, the client had a harmless little spider webbing down next to his head. I mentioned that he might want to back up a foot. He screamed like a little school-girl. I reached out and plucked the web (with the spider on it), held it up next to my nose, and was examining it closely. He's *shouting* "squash it!" I sighed , let it crawl up into my hand, then took it outside.

I'm not fond of roaches. Dirty little critters. But bugs and arachnids (and the 'peds) in general are awesome fascinating critters. I'd never kill one deliberately.

I don't want to hear about the brain from someone that doesn't have one.
Nor do I want to hear about evolution from someone that hasn't evolved.

I can't kill bugs, or insects.
With regard to spiders, i am absolutely terrified of them, so even if i do see one, my only option is to leave the room. I can't even get near it to put it outside!
One thing i detest, but can't kill: Slugs. The sight of them makes me want to vomit...

I'm absolutely fine with almost any bug
      except those shiny black beetles

about 5 years ago, when I was living with my parents
      we had two dogs
and a dog loo at the bottom of the garden

This dog loo was meant for one dog
and as such, never really coped with 2 lots of dog crap

so it used to back-up every once in a while
and I'd have to poor a shit-load of dog-loo detergent into the thing
fill it up with water, and stir it with a plank (oh, happy days)

anyway, one time, I poured the detergent in (which breaks down anything organic - it's evil stuff)
and bubbles started rising up from the depths

next thing I know, this shiny black beetle surfaced
and it's like nothing I've ever seen
the bastard is segmented - which he shouldn't have been
      and about 4 inches long
motherf-cker was not a natural bug

he surfaces, looking away from me, off to the right
and he actually turns himself in the water - turns to face me

well, I run like a mad-man back into the house
the thing sparked some deep primal fear in me, like nothing I've ever experienced

to this day, shiny black beetles (even the naturally occuring, non-segmented kind)
      give me the willies

everybody's probably already seen these things

but, for those of you that haven't

      Iraq Desert Spiders

Living deep in the desert of Iraq,
these spiders will seek shade from the sun by nesting under rocks

If disturbed, these creatures will run

      RUN

towards the nearest shade - your shadow

      They emit an audible "scream"
similar to those emitted by crickets

      and they're BIG

And they're not spiders. Nor do they bite humans...

They're actually Solifugae (although they do belong to the class Arachnidae) They're also commonly known as Wind Scorpions. But they're in a different class to the true scorpion.

And, no, they don't scream. Or make chittering noises. That would be the sound of you running screaming and the chittering noises would be you soiling yourself...

I had a couple of very large Opilionids here at the house when it was first built. From what I read above, you guys would like them. Nasty hairy icky spider-looking beasties. But they can't bite humans (no fangs, per-se), and their primary diet is slugs and snails...

Woes, bud!!! What makes you think I'm a girl? I know I said that Jesus has been stalking me, but don't assume he is a hetero. Did you ever hear about him having a girlfriend or even one night with a woman? Exactly. My 11th finger is no illusion. It's there, I promise.

(Edit: Okay, that's it. That damn blue arrow is going up now. It's day has finally come. It will remain until the operation.)

Sorry to spoil it. I'd have thought you were playing games if you'd posted some of the more outrageous rumors. . .

Incidentally - they also don't run 25MPH... They do tend to like shade, though. As just about ANY living thing in the desert would.

They're pretty amazing. A friend of mind managed to smuggle one out alive for me in gulf-war-I. It was kinda sickly when I finally got it, but I nursed it back to health and had it for almost two years, before one day it escaped the terrarium and discovered that it shared the house with a Jack Russell Terrorist...

I don't care how big a critter you think you are - when you come up against a JRT, you're gonna be distributed around the room in tiny little chunks in a matter of seconds...

We had *much* smaller ones in the desert in Arizona/New Mexico/Texas. Some of the larger ones in the middle east can have a leg-span close to dinner-plate-size. I've personally seen them with a body larger than my fist and leg-span around saucer-size.

I've been contemplating trying to get accepted into an arachnology program for awhile now. Maybe once I finish this photo-arts degree, I'll take a shot at it.

I find the entire class to be fascinating.

holy crap, though. They look like something straight out of a sci fi movie. so cool.

anyway I crush anything that gets in my way: man, beast, bug, machine, nature, bug machines, man-beasts, etc. One of those rare occasions when I vent my anger is when a nice big bug tries living in my room. sorry, buddy, you get to die. If I see a bunch of ants on a sunny day I might go and fry them with a magnifying glass or napalm if I get impatient. Usually I have better things to do but it's a pleasant diversion.
