      Trance (music)

I find trance to be so up lifting, anyone else? I'm listening to some right now and I just feel so happy. I like to have it on in the background when I work or just relax. It also helps me get over depression really well. It puts a feeling in me that I don't get from anything else. I wish I could discribe it. Do any of you feel the same about this music?

      I think it sucks bigtime.

But then again, I live in Europe when you hear trance all the fucking time because every other dickhead listens to it. And when you do, you will know that its all crap and all sounds the same.

If I was forced to listen to some stupid electronic music, I'd prefer some hardstyle and techno or something, not wimpy trance music.

Im not a real big fan either..

I like music with substance, with feeling, with real emotion and with good lyrics that mean something. Lyrics are not nessarily persay, because like celtic music often just is instrumental. And trance does not go with the above lol. No offense to people who like it though..each his own.

      EXACTLY...

god, here in europe, its like everybody listens to it, i dont mind it sometimes, or when i go clubbing like every few months...but its WAY overrated, here at least. There are some artists that i really like, but the majority is shit

offended someone by talking about a kind of music you like? hardly. if someone gets offended by THAT then they are the most close-minded person ever.

I don't know if I like trance. haven't heard any. I do like some techno though.

anyway, black metal makes me feel like that. ha.

Oh, you didnt offend anyone, sorry if I made you feel bad by bashing trance, but if you like trance, thats fine. I'd advise you to look around in the elect ronic music community and move a bit away from the commercial stuff, because there's some more underground styles that are way better!

OK, the one I downloaded (Hibernation) was a little to techno for my liking. However, it was quite good!
Guess I was expecting something a little more along the lines of "New Age" or "Ambient"

I like it a lot (trance), but haven't bought any new for a long time. I especially enjoy trance that experiments with rhythm, harmonics, and resonant and ambient sounds. Don't care for the overly repetitive stuff... But trance is usually repetitive by nature. I've got a couple of cds from platipus records that have some pretty good artists... http://www.platipus.com/

trance is cool...and psy trance i can tolerate for a weekend (used to go to some cool psy trance outdoor parties)
i like techno - my boyf is a dj and plays a lot...

      however,
dark stuff is cool - kinda wonky if you know what i mean.

deep house is lovely - very relaxing, uplifting, happy, jolly, summery music.

drum'n'bass i like - the older stuff ('94) is more my cup of tea. the newer stuff is a lot faster, more reptative and harder to mix. plus you've always got the stigma with drum'n'bass.
This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.

i make muzak thats either techno or trance, depending on what you exactly define as trance...check out the Apathy one, izmyfav ^^

i like any music that can make me feel emotions without me being able to comprehend what is being said..ie j-pop, which is in japanese, or techno/trance...also i like happy music not sad or angry music
