And NOW you are screwed. I bet norton doesn't work on apple's :)
Or on Mac's for that matter.
norton doesn't work on PC's anymore
bloody pile of tosh
McAfee all the way
1. Norton works fine on macs
2. "Security firms said Leap-A was not widespread and was unlikely to catch out many Apple users....No threat..."
"The malicious program tries to trick users into installing it and does not exploit any security holes in Apple's OS X operating system. It travels in a file called "latestpics.tgz" and only version 10.4 of OS X is vulnerable to it."
"Installing and running the worm requires users to go through several stages and this, along with bugs in Leap-A's code, have led security firms to play down the threat it poses...Symantec said Leap-A was a level 1 threat on its ranking system - the lowest level. Computer security firms McAfee and F-Secure also said it posed little threat...In a statement released to the Wall Street Journal, Apple said Leap-A was not a virus but was "malicious software"."
Yeah...UM...nice try. But not quite!!! Note the words...NO THREAT...and...LOWEST LEVEL of threat ranking...oh oh and...POSED LITTLE THREAT.
Yeah...thanks for that. But hey...thank you for playing with us...and what does he win Johnnny. Oh wait, nothing. Nice try though.
...yes, yes more mac jealously...call us "snobs" if it makes you feel better about your ugly ass PC then. muahaha!! Makes me laugh. :chuckle:
LOL, I love when people get jealous over mac. Most people haven't even touched a mac yet diss them as if they are experts.Quote:

If you are a true artist or musician you'd have to be stupid to go with a PC, though. Of course, you can use the free pirated software arguement all you want but did you know that if you somehow come into success with your music/art and it shows you made it on pirated software they can take the money for your songs/artwork...so you'll have to buy it anyway :D
Aww...Nina I'm a little disappointed with your news. Nothing against Macs, but just think how well Worm and Apple go together.

Hell yeah, Nina. Preach it sister! Apple power! Apples are very good computers. They last a long while, are very high quality, and on top of all of these good things, they are really damn pretty. What isn't to love? No wonder people are jealous.
My first computers were macs, and I use a mac fairly often now, and I still think the majority of mac owners are snobs and prudes with sticks up their butts
MacAfag sucks. Period.
I have a PC right now, but im switch to a mac in a few months. :D
I second that.Quote:

Last time I tried to use a Mac I couldn't figure out how to turn the damn thing on. Yes, they do look pretty, and some other details about the networking a file system make more sense than windows, but there are very few third party applications that run on it, and I can do everything on a PC that you can do on a mac, and then some.
bah dum bum :PQuote:

this comment alone says everything about how savvy the average PC user is - a Mac is not a toy, so you got no business using it if you can't even turn it on anyway :PQuote:

While I am "raised on mac" - over the years I have been forced to become proficient in both, and quite honestly, they are both becoming so much alike that this thread will be obsolete within the next 10 years. Windows is taking from Mac, Mac is taking from Windows. The one thing that has not yet changed is how ADAPTABLE the mac is compared to Windows! For example, there are CDs that I can't open on my work PC (running XP). I have to pop them into my PowerBook (G4 Mac)! As far as third party software, look around - new shit is popping up everywhere! The mac operating system has undergone a complete makeover to Unix/Linux. It's only a matter of time before there are more choices in third-party than you can shake a stick at.
The virus is only receiving media attention due to the novelty of a mac getting a worm. If this same virus were to hit windows, nobody would give two rats tushes.
