Anyone else have this happen?

Sometimes for no reason at all I get butterflies in the pit of my stomach while leaving a room I just turned the light off in.Im not afraid of the dark(I got over that at the age of 5).When It happens I haul ass outta there.But fo some reason it happens mainly at my house... :whyohwhy:

I think it is a primal fear that humans have. Most lions and other preditors are nocturnal. I think the extra adrenaline shot heightens your senses.

I don't, although light does give me this sense of security. :D

I feel almost the same way. I dont like large dark rooms.
Generally it's fear of unknown opponent.

I know that my mind will summon something BAD if I'll have a full scale LD in the dark. That's why I'm practicing at summoning weapons in my LD's ... :lol:

The dark can be scaring because of the unknown that might lie there..and because night, and dark spaces are generally assosiated with darkness(the element) and evil, which is not completely right.

I learned not to fear the dark in the pshysical anymore, in the astral its a little diffirent though sometimes brr :?

Though I like dark sometimes too, like the night, stars..the moon, just gazing..or just a dark room, walking around, not being afraid..enjoying the quiet and peace resting your eyes.

A good way to overcome fear of the dark is simply walking into dark rooms all the time lol, and not turning on lights when its not nessasary..

Hehe, the only thing you have to be afraid in your own house in the pshysical is hurting yourself if you dont watch out were youre walking lol

I always get this feeling that there is a predator/really scary thing behind me.Like something is chasing me..I can't help but run.For some reason its only when Im leaving a dark room/passing one.I get really creaped out...The wierd thing is im certain there is nothing to worry about.I just get this spine tingling feeling.I suppose its like seeker said with the adrenaline..? :whyme:

I bet there are spirits or unseen forces living around us everyday...

The thought of it scares me, but I guess it's alright....much better than ceasing to exist....

I just sometimes get unexplained shivers in my back, which I don't fully understand. I know this doesn't really mean anything, but it makes me question certain aspects of life.

Anyway, generally fear of the dark comes almost predetermined with the individual, it is part of the colective knowledge and experience of human kind. The only way to loose this fear is, obviously, to face it. But its kind of like an instinct to be afraid of it, don't think its just you
