Guess I've just been worried about a great friend lately, but....
If one of us dies, how will the rest of our DV friends ever find out about it?
Usually we assume that when someone no longer posts that they have either lost interest of have gotten mad and moved on.
But what if a dear DV friend was deathly ill or died from a car wreck or medical problem?
I'd visit you in your dreams!
well to be serious I dont really know, nobody really knows i'm a reg to this site... perhaps when I die and they go trough my computer after a few weeks they'll find this bookmarked and perhaps say something, dunno.
You can't. Because, from the viewpoint of everybody, you've simply stopped posting. You can't log on and say your dead, obviously, and the chances of a relative or somebody posting on these forums saying they are dead is slim- because A) they probably don't know about it B) they probably don't know what lucid dreaming is and C) they aren't sure if they should post anyway.
Seeker, this is strange you mention it...i have been thinking about this for months now.
It really upsets me, because if one of you died, it would be like loosing a friend. :(

Hey thats a great idea and have a family memeber post on your behalf. But man this is a sad topic, I don't really want to think about it.. Sorry guys.
I'm still alive, thank you. The doctors said that if I had waited even until the next morning to go into the hospital, I would have either been dead or passed out and on my way to death.
With things put into perspective for me, I just wanted to say that I'm done here. I'll fulfill my duties as a moderator so long as I'm still breathing and able to type. But I will not be offering any opinions or any advice or anything else of the sort anymore. It used to be worth my time, and it used to make me happy. But no longer. Whatever I have to say doesn't matter because some Christian comes along and shoves their views down everyone's throat. I don't have the energy to waste on arguing with a brick wall. This has become a forum of argumentative Christians and little more. So now you've won the forum, Christians. Are you happy? You've won just about everything else on this earth, why not the forum where we used to be free and open to talk about anything. The one place of sanctuary that people like me could come to without fear.

I..dont know..I..I support you in whatever you do, please reconsider..you opinion is very valueable, maybe not to christians but most certainly to me, and to other people too. I dont know what to say right..I have to go.. :(

As for Christians, yes they are the majority here, but, I think it's about time to ask everyon to keep religious discussions in philosophy.
This Forum should be a place where people of all beliefs can meet and have open exchanges of ideas.
Hmmm., guess it's time to make an announcement.
Even in philosofy people should try change it abit, its actually philosofy were alot of it goes around aswell, so I made a new topic, if this forum doesnt change soon I'm gone aswell.
Then again, I will stay if you would stay Willie, I promised never to leave if you are still around so I won't. I you do not wish to post anymore next your mod tasks..please reconsider like I said, but if you really dont want to..then like I told you earlier this morning..I'll support you in that and wont try and change your mind, I know we wont lose contact or something but I would love you aroudn though... :|

I think that the 'Christians' that try to shove beliefs down peoples throats are NOT CHRISTIANS, or are not really following Jesus' actions correctly. He didn't try to shove things down peoples throats. He just loved 'em.Quote:

Lost Soul, not all christians are like this, i was raised christian, and yes their are many like that, and they REALLY PISS ME OFF TOO.
But NOT ALL are like that.
I love ya tons! and i just fell so incredibly bad that i didn't know you were on that bed dying while i was here smiling...
It really makes you think about life....to know that we were completely oblivious to what was going on....
As LC said, we were just living everything as we always do, posting the same banter, without knowing that one of our own was suffering...
I don't know as for anyone else, but I promise that if I ever leave this board I will first post my departure to let you guys know....If I just leave and never post again, then you shall know what has happened to me.
