i don't know what you're talking about, but i think it's stupid anyway.
OFF WITH HIS HEAD
I like the facts that it saves your colors.
I don't like how it crashes every time I use it.
Tech is asking about our upgrade to the new version of ChatSpot, which recently happened. So...give him some feedback on how it's working for you and whether you like the changes.
don't be an ass.Quote:

It seems just like the old one except there's no "close" button so I have to use /quit to close it. A minor inconvenience, but damn it was confusing when I first noticed it .
I liek how it saves the color too. I only wish it had some good greens. Weve been needing a good green color forever.
I haven't taken the time yet to really "beta" the thing, but here are my comments so far:
1) """? I just noticed this works fine in Safari, maybe you already fixed it - if so, disregard. Also happens with other characters ("<", ">". etc).
2) Nice revamping of the colors, I personally think it's not something that requires a "pop-up" -- previous method seemed quicker and easier (even though I had issues with the pallate squares in Safari).
3) "Close" button not important - but having it there does makes me "feel" better when closing the chat window. I don't know, just makes me feel like I've really "cleared out" or purged succesfully whatever content was in that window as opposed to forcing a quit. But that's just a personal thing I guess.
4) Clicking on "options" blows my window out with no way back to the chat - assuming this is an under construction area (or a Safari issue), however, these links at the top would be better as pop-ups IMO. These windows have a lot more information on them and take longer to read. Would be nice to be able to keep track of chat while user looked over the options and help.
Overall, I believe it's an improvement. Thanks Techboy and whoever else helped with this.
I'll add more comments as I use chat more, if I find anything else.
I'm not sure why the [Close] link was removed...perhaps it didn't function properly with the changes they've made? If it would work, I'd like to see it return too...I agree that it somehow adds more of a certainty that one's session has indeed been ended (like using the 'Logout' button on the forum, which I'm sure most of us are accustomed to, instead of just closing the window...probably not a bad idea to have some congruence there).
I agree. I'd lke to use the Close button again.Quote:

I like how it saves my color - also the colors are easier to pick than before.
After the first update, I tried to private message somone in chat and got an error - but I can't remember what it said...sorry.
What's wrong with just pressing the "X"?
heh not sure either?Quote:

Joe pretty much summed it all up for me too, the little quirky things have all been fixed (the quotes and other characters, the commands etc)
I haven't personally noticed it crashing anymore than it did before, so not a big deal there, though I can only speak for myself in that area
Bizzle: you can select colors via codes too, next time you're in chat, instead of selecting a color, type this into the box and hit enter: 215E21
That'll give you a nice hunter green (or just check out the site where I got it from for other HTML color codes: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color2.html )
Usefull site, kthx!Quote:

thanks for feedback :)
Options should work fine under Firefox, last time I tested.
Close link - well if you love it that much I can add it back, it's really just not necessary (sp) anymore. It wasnt that it didnt work.
As for the errors I knew about these and got em fixed soon.
Nice to know you liked the colour saving, was the first thing we worked on :P
And how does it crash each time you use it Palliate? More info than that smartass comment would be nice. ;>

the saving of the colors is mucho sexy indeed

I likes the "x" better btw
