      Quitting.............

Well after a couple of months of thinking about it, i've finally set a date to quit smoking, i'm excited and scared about it at the same time, I've been a half a pack a day smoker for about 4 years now, and this Sunday I start wearing the patch
I learned alot from my last serious attemp to quit, so i'm hopeful i can avoid the temptations that made me fail last time, i gotta a long road ahead
Anyways, if any ex smokers out there have some tips, advice, comments, i'd love to hear em

Thanks guys, I was talking to a friend of mine who is also quiting smoking, and he was telling me he's been having alot of dreams about smoking and quiting, one night he dreampt that he took his patch off, and then woke up still thinking he had taken his patch off and went and put a new one on, lucky for him his wife noticed he had two on and removed one, think i'll keep my extra patches somewhere that i have to be fully awake to get at lol

Goodluck! I hear its easier to always have a sucker or a toothpick or something to do the hand motion that you do while smoking

I chew pens. I actually demolish pens. (One pen I was given was actually in peices at the end of 2 hours).

Good luck. And remember, the flying cold turkeys are with you!

      Good luck with quitting!
Now just dont go around buying all this cheap-non working smoke away fast pro blahblah fake crap from the TV! Some patches should help, but its definately a mental thing to resist it!

Yes, it is very is to quit if you have the will to do it. It is like not eating that extra cheeseburger for people overweight. Or compare it to never having sex. Just have to want it badly enough.
Still trying to decide on a sig.

YES LUCID DREAMING CAN HELP YOU QUIT. You can do all your smoking there.

I smoked for many years. Quitting was like loosing a best friend. Quitting while you are young is the best thing you can do. If you break down and have one don't kill yourself, just get back on the wagon. Allow yourself to fall down if you have to but remember you are stronger than that addiction.

I quit for many years, but when I'm out with friends having cocktails and I am around smokers, I may have one. The next day.. I just remember how awful I feel in my chest and I am thankful that I quit. I feel sorry for those who have to smoke butts throughout the day. They are aging their skin and they smell.

Keep strong man! You can do it.
