Thread: The Simple Things

Nice idea

-Woke up at 11:35, because I can
- Stroked my cat for 10 or so minutes
- Ate bannoffi pie for breakfast

Unfortunately, I also reflected sadly upon how many people from the pre-revived thread are no longer regulars here. Only 4 out of 17 are still seen here today

-Coming downstairs all nasty and dirty unshowered to loaf around
-Making someone happy, holding the door for a random person, helping someone lift clumsy/heavy things.
-A hug from your parents to let you know it will all work out..
-A smile from a girl across the way
-Making someone feel noticed
-Realizing we're all on this little earth together and have to make the best of it as best we can.

- Sleeping in without the cats or the dog waking me up today (I can't even tell you when the last time that's happened...)

- Having a nice, long conversation on the phone with my mom.

- Getting my wedding rings cleaned and admiring the shiny sparkleness all day.

- Going shopping with gift cards (can you say "free clothes!" )

- A rainy fall day.

MoS, you must have come back right after I logged off.

Today I:

-Made myself an omlette
-Drank out of my new wine glass
-Washed my clothes and put them on right out of the dryer
-Worked with a new girl for the first time
-Ate half of a cinnamon roll, even know it's not good for me
-Saw my friends in chat ... though someone didn't stay very long.

What a coincidence, I ate a WHOLE cinnamon roll today, still warm out of the oven. But I didn't give a second thought to if its good for me or not.

- Turned out all the lights, lit a bunch of candles, and watched a good, scary Halloween-y movie by myself in the dark.

Yeah, I think you just missed me. Also, hey, I'm sorry! My internet crapped out and it took me twenty minutes to reconnect. I really, really, really loathe dial-up.

So today, I:

~*~ Slept pretty much all day, as my plans with my sister fell through and I have a cold.
~*~ Promptly went out and rented two movies upon getting up. Without even showering.
~*~ Turned out the lights, put in my earbuds, and watched said movies, and had a darned good time doing so. Hot Fuzz was awesome, and Evan Almighty was pretty good, too.
~*~ Ate a hot dog with homemade chili on it during Hot Fuzz, and a bowl of said chili along with butter crackers and a lemon poppyseed muffin during Evan Almighty. Hey, I hadn't eaten all day. In fact, I'm hungry right now...
~*~ Listened to more Within Temptation, my soothing-yet-pick-me-up music.
~*~ Got on here, and I'm about to go make a post I've been meaning to for ages.

The corn dog cart is back!!!!!!

Every year between Nov. 16th and Dec. 24th, there's a corn dog stand full of cholesterol-enhanced delight! So bad, yet so, so good.

I too like walking in the middle of the road. Makes the whole world seem empty. Which is cool. Ubercool.

Lol, that's always fun. I think it's even funnier when you see the person driving the opposite way actually make eye contact with you. It's like .001 seconds of eye contact. Most people don't look, only the cool people do.

Being human is a great experience. I take great pride and joy in being among the living.

Right, i think i'll make a serious contribution.

Today i had quite a few wonders.

- I looked at the snow on the hills in the distant whilst on the bus, made me feel happy that snow is moving in.
- Many girls smiled at me when i held the door open for them
- Played this new piano piece and felt really happy.

Lol, randomness, i've been getting happy off loads of little things, like i listened to some music by this Japanese composer, really made my day a wonder!

- ate a bunch of yummy (yet probably deadly) raw cookie dough

Looks like another "I see wut u did thar" cat

• Had a one-on-one non-school conversation with my Religion Teacher
  
• Smiled at someone I've never actually met, in the halls and got a smile back
• Also walked in the middle of the road when it was dead. A rather large, 4-lane road at that.
