And I am going to Vegas tomorrow. I will not have access to a computer there (and am too young to gamble [which I wouldn't do anyways]), so really the main reason why I am going is to see my sister (I haven't seen her for a while). |

It is not length of life, but depth of life.

Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.
Okay if you want to see the under belly of Vegas and do some good gambling you got to go to the Gold Spike. It is small dirty and I wouldn't even go near the bathrooms, but it is totally worth it the drink service is on the ball, they have a great hot dog special and two dollar black jack. If you are lucky you might get to meet the retired guy who lives in the hotel and gambles for a living. If you chat him up he will tell you some good stories and gambling tips. Gold Spike is right next to Fremont Street which is also nice to check out. Fremont Street is where all the Olden days casinos are, they covered the whole street with a canape of lights and they do a light show like every hour after dark. Most of the casinos on Fremont have pretty cheap drinks and low limit gambling. The Golden Nugget also on Fremont street has a 99 cent shrimp cocktail. If you ask anyone they can tell you how to get to Fremont but it is not in walking distance of the Strip so a cab is a good option. Oh and if you are into Filipino Lounge acts you have to see Elements. For food I would recommend the buffet at the Mirage called Cravings it is the cheapest place to get all you can eat crab legs. If you go for lunch (dinner is alot more expensive and not that much different) its about fifteen dollars and totally worth it. |
