Unicorn's Amsterdam Trip report
Okay, as some of you already know, i went to Amsterdam for four days with 2 friends from Brussels (Yann and Manu). So here's a long report on this amazing journey :D
Saturday
It was already 2:30p when we arrived. We were very tired and decided to get some rest for a couple of hours. I had a brief childhood dream: i was running with my older sister in the beach, i was trying to catch her but she ran really fast... I was reaching my arms as if i wanted to hold her, but she was so ahead of me i could barely see her. I then stopped running when i realized i was naked. A smell of hashish woke me up, my roommates were already sharing a joint. ;)
We went out to buy some hawaian mushrooms, we bought 2.5 grams each and washed it own with lemonades in a coffeshop.
Thirty minutes had passed, and i could already feel some effects. My heart was racing and i started to feel really hot. I didn't panic and started to relax and breathe slowly. Manu and Yann were already tripping hard and were laughing for no apparent reason. I personally didn't smoke the joint before and thought it was a bad idea to mix drugs. I was just happy i was really in control of my trip.
We decided to go out for fresh air, and i was amazed because it was already dark! How long were we sitting in the coffeshop?? I had no notion of time and space, and i said: "fuck it! Time doesn't exist anymore!" I remembered seeing my watch ticking unusually fast! It was very windy and i could feel the wind caress my skin. A very pleasant feeling.
I have a tendency to put my hands in my pockets when i walk. I could feel they started to get unbearably hot, when i looked down at my pockets, i saw it was on fire! i remembered screaming and thought maybe my lighter exploded in my pockets! I decided to look at my hands and they were so fucking red, i took a closer look and i could see fire coming out of my hands, but i felt no pain. I instantly knew it was my first real hallucination of the trip, and felt releaved. "Cool, i now i have the power to create fire" :bravo:
I turned around to look for Yann and Manu, they were behind me with two asian chicks. I instantly thought about another hallucination. I approached them and i felt really amused when i realized they were real. I later knew they were from HongKong, the first one spoke a perfect english and was easy-going, but i couldn't not understand the second girl. At first i thought i was the only one who couldn't decode the words she spoke, but a quick glance at Manu was enough to know she was speaking chinese with us. The girls were obviously very high on something. :P
Yann started to feel really bad and was obviously bad tripping. He wanted to go back to the room. I had to go with him while Manu stayed with the two girls, we set an appointment in a Jazz/Blues bar across the street. i bought a bottle of water and an orange juice for Yann and went up with him in the room. I explicitely asked him: "Yann, can you cope with it??", and he clearly said "Yes". I felt very releaved as he had many worse bad trips before. I helped him drink the orange juice and left him in the room.
The evening started to get very interesting. I had no idea how long i have been tripping. Each time i glanced at my watch, time was still running fast! I looked at the sky, and thought about how small i am in this amazing universe. "Tonight is gonna be special" i thought, "I'll finally get THE answers".
I joined Manu and the girls at the jazz bar. A band was playing in a very relaxed and blue-ish atmosphere. There was a surreal painting on the wall featuring a parrot with the weirdest eyes, and i was sensing he was constantly looking at me even when i changed positions! He started blinking at me, and i got freaked out when he started talking to me, he kept repeating something like "KWAK! KWAK! Aye, asshole"!!". I then heard what seemed like a paint brush' sound on a palette, and then some brown paint quickly covered the parrot's head. I could see the paint travelling in space before reaching the parrot. I looked around to see who did that, and i saw a sterotypical painter with a green beret. He was so concentrated on his hand movements, it was amazing... i was grasping the essence of artistic creation, i thought. Later on, i looked at the band and felt a real connexion, a harmony between the sounds they produced, the music they were playing seemed as a mental energy compressed in space, i could feel the bass going through my whole body, the feeling had the intensity of a thousand orgasms, and i think it was THE high point of the my trip :)
The asian girls asked if we wanted to share lines of coke with them, Manu agreed, but i was still light on my trip and sure didn't want to try any hard drug at this point. I went back to the room and started to read some Spinoza and Kierkegaard essays i brought with me. Never before had i completely understood what i was reading before that night. I felt i was completely in sync and sharing the head of two geniuses. I then went quietely to sleep and when i woke up the next morning, Manu wasn't there... :D
