Check out the Bellagio's musical water.
      Gamble at least once.
Talk a walk up the Strip.
Visit the big-name hotels. Most of them have something to see, like a little museum or something.
Check out the porn (you can't miss it; they'll hand it to you free on every street corner).

Go to Caesars Palace- the huge shopping place with the painted roof, full of stupidly expensive designer labels.
And yeah, check out the cool hotels like Wynn and the Palms etc.

That's way cool! See if you can see some elvis impersonators!

How old do you have to be to gamble? I am going to calafornia with my familiy this summer, and we are passing though las vegas too, I want to give the good ol' roulette table a few spins But I don't think I am old enough : (

I could be wrong, but I think you have to be 21 to gamble. They bring you free drinks at the tables (at least I got a free drink out of it ) and the legal drinking age in America is 21. I'm not sure about the slots though because no one ever checked my ID.

Definately do all of these things. Vegas is quite an experience.

Yes, you do have to be 21 to gamble - this includes playing the slots. I went with my family when I was 16 and I got caught playing the nickel slots (seriously, the nickel slots - who cares?!), they tried to check my ID so I told them it was in my hotel room so I left and didn't go back (which I'm sure they get a lot of minors doing that). I'd love to go back now when I can actually do all the fun stuff Vegas is famous for.

The Luxor is a must-see if you're into ancient Egypt.
Basically, I'd recommend checking out as many as the hotels as you have time for. They're all different and there are a lot of amazing things to see.

      Have fun!

That shouldn't be too hard. Speaking of hard, go to the Hard Rock cafe, and then get pissed and get married by an Elvis impersonator at one of those Little White Wedding chapels they have.

The hotels are a definite must. Stratasphere tower is really cool too, and the rides on the top of it are cool too.

I'm suprised ITM hasn't started going on about strip clubs and hookers yet...

      You know.
I am actually going there next week.
This week, I will going on a business field trip to San Fran, so I won't be here starting tomorrow until Monday.

Luckily, they are going to teach anyone who goes about teamwork, getting jobs, and we'll be showing our portfolios to big companies.
Then I will be gone to Las Vegas visiting my sister a week from Thursday, and won't be back until the following Monday.

I don't gamble, but I still enjoy all the fancy foods they have there (Breakfast Buffet, anyone?), and I do get to visit my sis, so it is pretty nice.

They don't do anything to you if they catch you and your under age, they just make you leave. If you hit the jackpot your not getting your money though. They will check you though, if your under about 23 they will get you 90% of the time. I think they are supposed to check anyone who "looks" under 27.

You get free drinks at most tables and even most slots games. Of course you have to tip though, or you will never see the person with the drinks again. People also normally tip if they hit the jackpot on the slots too. Also at the tables if your winning a lot.

If you have some money and are legal age, you can just walk down the strip and theres all kinds of stuff to see. I would go to some of the shows too, there all over. To be honest there really isn't any "must see" things. A lot of "cool" stuff though.

The only hotel worth staying at is the Bellagio. The other hotels (Flamingo, New York New York, Excalibur *cringes*, etc) are medicore.

Oh no, we're staying at the Excalibur. We had it all set so that we would stay at either the Luxor or Montecarlo, but everything was gone when we went to book it. I actually thought it would be funny to stay at the Excalibur, I imagine it's going to be super corny, which I think will be fun. Plus, who cares about the hotel? Not like I won't be coming back at 6am to sleep for two hours and then getting up to start drinking again. Right?

Has anybody been on the Stratosphere or any of the other crazy rides? I don't remember if Stratosphere is the roller coaster or the thing on top of a hotel that shoots straight up and then back down, but there is no way I'm getting on those. There's some other ride on top of a building that whips you around and then shoots you over the edge of the building while you hang over Vegas.......ewwwww. My friend tried to convince me to go, but there's no chance in hell. I got dizzy when I watched King Kong and Spiderman in the theatre, I actaully had to hold on to the armrests. There's no way I'm getting on any of those rides.

Excalibur was corny, and not even good corny. All the employees believe they are in the Medieval Era (brainwashing, i figure). Just use it as a place to sleep and you should be fine.

Yeah, that's what I was planning. But the employees sound like fun, are they a bunch of dorks I can make fun of? It sounds awesome! What could be better? Even play along with their stupid games and stuff, I'm totally up for it.

Whoa, I hope you have an adequate supply of acid and other hallucinogenic drugs if you go that route. Seriously trippy movie...

      desert

If you want a change of pace from casinos and neon, check out the Valley of Fire.

Its amazing landscape that seems like its from an alien planet.

And check out Bellagio fountains at night.

      my 2 cents!

haha right on. I'm planning out my spring break right now, actually. I'm calling it "Fear and Loathing in Mansfield."
