I saw that story too, I feal bad for the 90 year old man lol. One question,does eating that fish have any bad side effects? because if it doesn't I dont see why people just dont eat that instead of killing themselfs with lsd. Lol how would you like to be walking down the street when a man in a trench coat walks by and says " hey, want any its fresh" and opens up his coat and its lined whith fish. Police would get supicus of people with high water bill and when they search the house they find the person has tons of fish tanks in the basement lol. Its street name would be some thing like techo fish.

Well the site didnt mention anything about the fish being deadly it just said "The poisoning can start to cause vivid hallucinations within minutes of eating a poisonous fish and may last for days, often with no other effects. There is no antidote."

Where as lsd has "psychological or emotional effects such as anxiety, depression, dizziness, disorientation and paranoia; physical effects such as dilated pupils, lowered body temperature, nausea, vomiting, profuse sweating, rapid heart rate; and convulsions; prolonged anxiety and depression after use of the drug is stopped.
The physical dangers of the long-term LSD use are unknown."

Other then the aperent dangers of the things you might do while under the infleuence and the fact that it can last several days, If you get all the good of lsd and none of the bad then I dont see why this fish isn't more popular.

I will bet money on the fact that the "bad" of these fish outweighs the "bad" of lsd. And who wants to trip for days, anyway? You can only go so long without an ego before you start to get lonely in your detached state of reality. And how could you sleep? The side effects you list for LSD are minor in scope, as well as uncommon, and the bit about axiety and depression is just plain false. Think of the amount of human testing done on LSD: lots. there is a wealth of information on it online or in the myriad books that trippers have written. Put that next to these psycho-fish; almost no information except what we just read in that article. If you've ever read an article like this and knew about the subject matter before reading it, you'd know that they're often cursory and poorly-researched.
