      Clowns

      Widely and unreasonably feared.

WHY TO PEOPLE GET SCARED SHITLESS OF THESE FREAKS IN MAKEUP!?

I think it has become 'trendy' to be scared of clowns, and the media...screw the media...has made a party tradition into a scarry murderer, or a haunted house fiend.

Don't be scared of clowns, its unreasonable...stupid, and they will NOT KILL YOU with butcher knives...

Apparently, you have never seen 'Killer Clowns From Outter Space'

They are evil. Trap people and wrap them in cotton candy for transport back to their planet for food!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I've been scared of clowns since I was a kid, so I ain't part of the hype. But I also have to ask what hype? I have never heard of "it's cool to be scared of clowns". Maybe because of Kramer?

I think if you scared of clowns its normally because something happened when you where a kid. Like a crazy looking clown jumping out at you.

I know a person that worked in McDonalds, and whenever Ronald McDonald was coming in she had to stay off work.

See? Its a fucking trend. Everybody hates clowns/knows someone who does. Its just trendy to do so. I've noticed this too. There's nothing scary about clowns, and nothing really funny about them also. Or are there really so much clowns that did something ''different'' in everybodies childhoods???

i don't see how being scared of clowns is in vogue. it's no different than being scared of snakes... people don't do it to be fashionable, they do it because they're scared.

      me: hey look a clown!

bob: like omfg it's a clown run!

      me: why?

bob: what the hell? you aren't scared of clowns? pffft, what a loser.

I just don't see the trend in it. They've scared the shit out of me since even before some of you were born, I never really got over it. If I see one I won't scream or run away or call the cops and demand the military there. I'll just look away, I guess it is more of an uneasy feeling than fear.

Yeah, im still blaming the media for this, among many things...
Anerexia/Bulimia nervosa was never around in such a huge way before the media...
LOOK at all the depressed kids in America...some of them get smarties instead of prozac, because they are not depressed; they may have had a bad week, but depression is much deeper than that (depending if your looking at genetics, or behavioural circumstances)
Just look at the media and what it has done to the world. I will now go puke.

Well anorexia and bulimia I can't argue with. Everyone wants to be skinny 'cause that's what they see on TV, and society isn't making it easier...

I have to agree with you here. The media is to blame for a lot of things including maybe the fear of clowns. I know of a few people that are afraid of them because of a few movies... Clowns were meant to be funny!

I could go on and on about depression physical/circumstantial. The media tells us we're depressed and here take this...they are just trying to sell a product if we need it or not.

What makes me sick the most is the young kids that kill themselves with diet because they think they should be thin. Anorexia and bulimia are a result of supposed perfection in the media and what America thinks we are supposed to look like. What gives the media the right to tell us what is beautiful? What happened to the "Marilyn Monroe's" of beauty?

Well anyway, after all that I just have to say... I don't think clowns are scary and not even funny! They are just weird people in bad make-up! Who ever thought they were funny to begin with????

Don't even get me started about mimes.....

I am not scared by either, I just hate their guts, and want to kick them in the nuts just because....they are.

I also have that impulse with people that dress up as publicity whores, such as Ronald Mcdonald, a Hush Puppy, hot dog, etc...

They all disgust me as human beings....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
