I also posted this in the proverb a day thread. But I thought it was very befitting here as well.

The clouds have a lot to say!
Today, in Ohio at least is the first day of autumn/fall. Hands down my favorite time of the year.
The colors the harvest and the temperate days and cool nights.
I cannot get enough "outdooor."

Howie :)
Well the beginning of another year 2008.
With that I received a gift from my wife. An Oregon scientific weather station.
So much info. It is via MSN direct. It has all the bells and whistles.
Another thing I acquired is very very cool. It is a weather log.
You should check all these things out - wwwaccordpublishing.com
2008 weekly Engagement calender. It not only has a collection of photographs, facts and stories but it has a fold out log to compile your own data. Like yesterday -42 mph wind gust. Today - 11.25" of snow < 7.3 lake effect.
Becasue I have to snow plow, I am out checking through out the night. :P
New years day - 1864 -16°F for a high in Chicago.
As if that is not enough, I also got a 2008 weather calender. This also from accord Publishing. Very awesome pictures and weather facts.
I think it is safe to say I am ready as a pronounced weather geek! for 2008. :smartie:
Love this image from todays astronomy picture of the day...

I woke up to 4 degrees and 9" of snow.
Coming right off Lake Erie. These frigid temps are hitting the warm water is nasty combo.
It is all staying up North with a West wind. Which means I can stay in and not plow snow.! :boogie:
Some of the few times I can enjoy the snow!!
Fog from the warm temps coming of the ice.

We're now looking at the possibility of another ten inches of snow here in the Detroit area, coming soon! Watching the storm develop in the gulf region right now...
This had me poking about NOAA - and I found a really cool online curriculum for people interested in meteorology. Thought I'd post it here:

Heh, this thread never dies :P.
We're due for about 50 cm of snow in southern Quebec on Friday, which isn't that good, because I have to drive out of town Saturday morning.
South VA - It's foggy, the light outside is a blur. It's also raining, but it always rains here...
