Thread: Too Many People

I just pruned 998 users. We've actually had just over 9000 sign up.

Run a Russian Roulette. Delete a random user for every post that someone makes. It'll be endless F- *BZZT*

It's crazy trying to sift through all of the new posts. If I work a double and come to this board, no way am I going to read twelve pages of new messages. Regardless, it's great that this many people take an interest in their mind.

I don't know. I kind of like having a a lot of users. It makes a nice community, but maybe that's because I just joined in march. Though sifting through tons of new posts does get annoying, but I have the time *sits back, relaxes, and enjoys summer break*

Hmmm. At the moment since Semester started, again, I'm finding that I have less time than I'd like to post at DV. So, when I come here, I'm finding that I can no longer read every single thread, like I sort of used to (or at least skim them). But, I like having lots of users. It's kind of sad that so many come and stay for only a couple of weeks, but, it's still cool that DV isn't a really exclusive community. We get a few idiots, sure, but hey, it's the internet, that;s to be expected, but the majority of people who come are cool. And while a lot of people obviously don't read the site and the tutorials before asking questions, as long as they're friendly, coherant and polite, more experienced members still seem to be willing to provide advice and pointers. It's cool, actually.

I guess what I'm saying is that, docThory, I don't think there's such a thing as "too many people" as far as this forum goes.

Well, I manage to read every thread I want to read. "Too many people" (okay?) is not a problem for me.

No, it's because I know how to handle it.

I think it is good with many people, as there will be more responses when making topics. On many topics with lots of posts, I don't care to read all of it, unless it is something interesting.

ha ice i would have waited untill it said 9975 members and then pruned out ..it would have been cool to see it drop a thousand

I love the fact that Lucid dreaming is a concept that people are becoming more and more interested in. I mean, it's way cool. I love having new members, and I love seeing the new people. It's cool with me.

Well, considering that there's only a couple of hundred people who actually post regularly, it isn't that big of a deal.

OK something meaningful and relevant... I like it here... I do not think there are too many people, the more people you have the more likely it is someone will have a clue about what you are talking about or be interested in your "Senseless banter" or whatever...

Unrelated side note: I use too many commas... I have to reread my sentences and take commas out... lol
