I've had one of those speaking programs before. It let me extract what it says to mp3 files and Wav, so I had my computer welcome me when I logged on. (Edited in some cheering, clapping etc. :P)
Also Kaniaz, The voice is usually a digital sounding voice so I dont think you'd want it to read something like that to you....

I once had a program where this 3-D animated girl read you stories. ;)
I am wondering if such speek programs could be useful to listen to when you sleeps. You could hear a voice talking about lucid dreams, and maybe that will help to get a lucid dream by your self?
