I have to say that I am using Mozilla Firefox, and am loving it. Got all my plug-ins running happily, my theme is looking lovely, and many forum tabs running.
I'm just curious as to the popularity of certain web browsers.

IE 7 RC1. I wouldn't use IE 6 on my life but they've made a ton of progress in 7. I haven't had any trouble with security, it's got a good tab implementation, it looks better, standards support has come on a mile and the RSS aggregator embedded in it is pretty damn neat. I checked out Firefox 2's beta and their RSS support was kind of sad.
One thing it doesn't have is themes or extensions (unless you count those ugly programs you actually have to install like DLLs and so forth) but after trying to use it for two weeks, I realised I didn't actually need any of my extensions*. So IE 7 is my default browser now.
They're going to release it over Automatic Updates soon, once they're sure that RC 1 is good. You won't have to upgrade but I'd say do it anyway. It plays well with Firefox and just gets rid of that fumbling old IE 6.
I still keep Firefox around for testing. It has a very good Javascript Console and the Venkman Debugger is stellar.
* I've seen some people with IRC clients and MP3 controllers inside their Firefox browser. It's pretty scary.
EDIT: Ha ha. I spelt "implementation" wrong.
I loaded IE 7 RC yesterday. So far I had only 1 crash with it, but I like it a lot. I don't think it's going to stop me from using Firefox altogether. I do like the drag and drop tab reordering You get the opportunity to set them up the way you want and save it in the order you prefer, it kinda' reminds me of the way you can drag and drop slides in PowerPointe, but you can't drag and drop the panels around in Quick Tabs, which is a static view.
I'm using firefox for mac.
Mozilla Firefox (for PC), just because of those damn handy Tabs (or whatever you call that favorite-menu without clicking on "my favorites"...)... :bigteeth:
the only thing that sucks is when you middle click a menu-tab called "Humor", and then getting hundreds of funny things playing all at once, and eventually, crashing firefox :(...
Firefox. It's great.
Yeah, IE 7 is a great advancement (and only three+ years late!), but Firefox can still do some tricks that IE just, you know, can't. I would probably still be using (and reccomending) Firefox as my primary browser if I hadn't grown addicted to the RSS support in IE 7.Quote:

It's weird how some people find IE more stable than Firefox, and some people find Firefox more stable than IE. Firefox tends to crash more often for me, but in all fairness, this is probably because I'm using more exotic, less-tested features like the Javascript debuggers etc.
I think the best thing about IE 7 is that they're going to actually keep developing, that is, start on IE 8 (or 7.5) the second IE 7 is out there, instead of just lumping us all with IE 7 and sitting on their butts for another six years. I think it's probably in response to Firefox's advancement. And they said competition was a bad thing.
Firefox is teh sex :content:
ie because my computer is crap.
IE. I tried using FireFox... I just didn't like it.
Mozilla Firefox on Mac OS X.
:)
Most of the time I use firefox however it SUCKS on linux.
Crashes 19+ times a day on average (i counted once) and flash support not only doesn't support flash 8 & 9, it has no sound on 6- and crashes the browser 75% of the time (which sucks when I visit a site with flash ads and have like 90 tabs open.)
On my windows computer Kaniaz made me switch to IE7 and I must admit its quite nice. It makes some websites look screwy but of course its still far from completion.
internet explorer...basic is the best...
I hope you mean internet explorer 7
if not, then stop using that crap
IE6 was never good
and in terms of being basic or not, firefox is just as basic as internet explorer. don't let all this talk of extentions and tabs and crap confuse you... all that is optional, and the learning curve for IE6 to firefox is like... nonexistant, the layout is basically the same
Pieman, basic is the best? Err.. You are calling it basic because it's on Windows by default, but if Firefox would have been on Windows by default you would've callen that the best.
It's not "BASIC", it's just DEFAULT.
So dum dum dum. I'm on Firefox.
