No-one else into this?
(not really suprised, tbh)
But the sh*t Banksy's done since the Iraq war are just superb
Always loved his re-painted paintings

:rolllaugh: that's great! Yah, I heard about the Paris Hilton thing, didn't realize this guy has a whole "series" of stunts like this. Hell, didn't know there was such a thing as "guerrila artists".
The last whacky group/cult I heard of was those dudes that would run around and smash pies in the faces of celebrities and politicians (Pie Terrorists or something like that?).
This dude is better, though, cuz sometimes it takes a while for people to really notice the shit and remove it! LOL
Banksy's a legend in the UK
particularly in London and Bristol (his/her hometown)
also done a lot a work abroad
most notably the West Bank wall in Palistine

He's a Graf. artist x 10
A lot of his work is on the website
http://www.banksy.co.uk
although a lot isn't
In recent years, he's broadened from purely stencil graf to the sort of stunts mentioned above

*edit*
talking of the palistinian wall stuff
there was a great interview done a while back that had this classic quote
Quote:
Old man: You paint the wall, you make it look beautiful.
Me: Thanks
Old man: We don't want it to be beautiful, we hate this wall, go home.[/b]
LOL! Dude, thanks for the link - I really didn't expect to get much work done today anyway.
How the heck did he do that one scene in the palistine wall, though (two chairs, window scene of mountains)? I mean, there's a heck of a lot of detail in that mountain scene - is that just a photo or poster that he glued onto the wall?
Man, you're so lucky to be livin up there - if he ever "toured" the US I'd be hittin every gallery in the area looking for his "contributions"!
PS- awww that poor animal. Then you wonder how you all get madcow! :P
Never heard of the guy.Quote:

you must be hiding under a rock

I edited my post within sixty seconds of your posting another. Does that mean we're eeriely connected by some sort of British mind dial-up link? I think it does, because it would explain all the screeching I get in my ear.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("Tornado Joe")</div>He's currently in LA I'm pretty sure.Quote:

Yeah I love this guy... some of his stuff is really funny. The man hanging by his arm from the bedroom window is one of my favourite.
