Okay now I make the BEST toasted Sandwitches with simple things such as bread, pesto, Banana, Apple...things everyone has in their fridge and kitchen.
I really like doodeling around in the Kitchen with Food, making my own tasty sandwitches and oven-creations :D
But I guess there's a Jamie Oliver in everyone :P So this Topic would be one to Exchange those simple meals you can make with practically nothing in the house. Echange personal recipies here.
My tasty Kitchen-Creations of the greatest Simplicity:
Italian Spiced Toast sandwitch:
*Take 2 slices of bread and spread some Pesto on one of them (Preferably Basilicum Pesto AND Tomato pesto)
*Add some garlic or other spices that go well with it.
*Add some thick slices of Creamy Young Cheese, Mozarella-Cheese would be even better.
*Then sprinkle some Oregano-spice, just a little, on top of the Cheese
*Put the other Slice on top of it and put the whole thing in the Toaster (preferably not an oldskool toaster but one that sits horizontally instead...you know what I mean)
Wait a minute or 5 and you've got the tastiest, yet simplest Italian spiced Toasted sandwitch ever
Toasted apple sandwitch:
*Take 2 slices of Bread and Spread some creamy butter on one.
*On top of the butter add a layer of Sugar
*Sprinkle a LITTLE Cinnamon on top of that ( unless you hate cinnamon off course :P )
*Skin an apple and slice very thin slices of apple and put it on top of it all.
* put the other slice of bread on it and put it in the Toaster for about 3-5 minutes.
Trust me: It will be tasty
Baked Ham Sandwitch:
*Find any type of ham you can bake. whichever you like
*Put on the cookingplate and put a small, shallow pan on it
*Get 2 slices of Bread
*Make a sauce out of Mayonaise & about a full teaspoon of Mustard ( Mayonaise:Mustard=10:2 )
*Spread it on one of the 2 slices bread.
*Slice some fresh tomatoes and put the slices on the ''Mayonaised'' Bread
*Put some butter/sunflower oil in the pan (You can add some spices to it to get tasty baked&spiced ham)
*Put in the ham and don't bake it all crunchy, just long enough for all fat to dissolve.
*Put the baked ham on the Sandwitch
That is so Sweeeeeeeet :D and so simple to make.
HomeMade BananaMilkshake:
*It is a MUST for this one to have a Blender: I LOVE blenders. Such good things :)
*Put about 3 - 4 huge tablespoons of Vanilla ice in the Blender.
*Take 1 overripe Banana, cut it up somewhat and add it into the blender.
*Now poor about half a cup of Milk to the Blender.
*Let it Blend until it's nice and smoothly liquid.
That is the best Banana Milkshake you've ever had. It makes you realise what a low Budget MacDonalds must have with their ''Chemically Reproduced banana-Flavour Milkshakes''. Ever noticed how they never taste anything like banana? :| Ain't nothing but the taste of Natural Food and Drinks. Nothing beats this simple banana milkshake recipe.
Well there's lots more where that came from, but I'll post that later.
Now I would like to hear your Kitchen Creations. They must be simple, easy to make without hardly anything in the house. If you are all little Jamie Oliver's like me this Topic should become a good Cookbook for healthy, tasty, yet simple foods and drinks. :)
