Great story about a guy that falls asleep every night in 1976 and wakes up in 2150! Absolutely fantastic! I recommend it to EVERY Lucid Dreamer!

actually adidas I am sorry I do not have any good suggestions for an uplifting novel. But you made me realize I could use one. All I read is nonfiction novels about depressing crap about politics or genetics. Thanks !
And the fiction I do read is either Dan Koonze or Stephen King.

Well if ya wanna go fictious, I highly recommend the Redwall series.I don't care how old you are.And everyone also might like The Lord of The Rings.I love the lotr!

Lol. I remember I read all 12 of the redwall series during middle school. Those were the good times.

If you like science fiction read Ender's Shadow (If you haven't read it already) I personally think it's better then Ender's Game, the original.

Wow, I haven't had the leisure time to read since last summer... Can't wait until this summer gets here.

Any George Orwell books are pretty damn good. I dunno about uplifting though.

I want to buy some new novels, and am currently awaiting to recieve a bunch by Chuck Palahniuk, the author of fight club. In fact that is one of the novels I am recieving and looking forward to read...

It may not be a 'pick-me-up', but have you read ENDERS GAME?
You may also want to pick up The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan...or some of Terry Goodkind's stuff.

I'm currently steadily plowing my way trough a heap of SF.... Read Asimovs Foundation series, (7 books), and the Man-Kzin wars, and some other random books I cant really recall, oh and I read TechnopunkSF, a collection of 10 short storys by W. Gibson and I'm reading Virtual Light right now, by Gibson too. Quite depressing sometimes, this cyberpunk. Not my view on the future!

i haven't found it. i didn't have time, i told some friends that i'm looking for something to read and i got a couple thrown at me. the fuck up by arthur nersesian is one that i'm being "urged" to read by a girl...

i'll pick up 2150 next time i'm at the book store, but it got bumped down the rank order. i have a carl jung biography to read. gah... and some nietzsche too.

That sounds like some interesting stuff, I should really try to start reading again...

I used to read enough when I was back in school, I would rent a book from its library and have it back to take another...

Now I actually have to buy the books, cause no libraries have the ones I want, and few bookstores here do...

I have to place a large order on amazon very soon...

I finished Illusions yesterday. I've got to say, it is a simple, but very good book.

Especially when you apply the concepts to Lucid dreaming!

I red a bunch of the Redwall series books back in the day too, very good, loved em actually. I also got into alot of the Piers Anthony Xanth Novels, I liked alot of those...

Hey, any of you guys that have read Illusions. Have you tried the stuff Don had Richard do yet?

I had a really highly vivid, high control LD last night and decided I would try it.

I walked on water, which was really interesting since the water would get caught in the tread of my shoes and be thrown everywhere when I lifted a foot.

I also tried making the land a fluid to swim in. About all I accomplished here was wading knee deep in solid earth.

where do all you guys get these books, ive never seen them anywhere down here, i mean ordering online isnt my option as all bookstores are in US, seriously

ill just pick up a random and read it, othewise i dont know of any uplifting books,
