GOD!

I don't know if you guys will agree, but it seems he is the new trend. Before the Passion I was the outcast, the only one who had watched The Last Temptation of Christ, or read The DaVinci Code. Now friends and family members are asking me to let them borrow either one. That includes my older family members. Not only them but the media seems to have a newfound interest in both. At least in Mexico. If this is the same here then I have to ask... why? Was the Passion that good of a movie? I haven't watched myself and I really don't plan on it, the way it's been described to me it sounds like a 2 hour beat down.

On the subject of trends, I wrote in another thread that lucid dreaming might become a trend at some point. Everything seems to be having their shot at the spotlight. I remember I used to wear a chain wallet and people would look at me weird, especially my family. Now it's fashion, my cousin who just loves fashion and trends wears them now, even my 12 year old cousin.

*Sigh...* When will people open their eyes...

No offence but wasn't wearing a chain wallet a trend like 8 years ago, I don't know anyone who wears them anymore heh. Or did it go out and come back in already?

Anyway if a movie makes you think, its a good movie. I don't think its a trend where people think its cool now. It my be a trend but I think most people believed in that stuff already but in their everyday lives they just get lazy or something and don't think about it as often.

Weird... when I started writing this thread I was thinking of Avril, and how thanks to her the "punk" look is in...

I know where you are coming from though... if I dressed they way I dressed a few years back I'd be a trend setter. I remember I used to wear jeans that were faded, not 'cause I bought 'em that way, 'cause they were old.

Nowadays people pay 200+ bucks to look like they are wearing less than 40 bucks.

uh, no. thanks to HER, there are all these kids out there that think they're skaters. truth is, most of them have never even BEEN ON A SKATEBOARD. they slap some black eye-liner on and throw on a tie and call themselves "skaters" or "punks" just because of AVRIL and her making the image mainstream.

I agree people suck...

My wish would be to own some huge estate and invite the few people I consider decent as humans to live there with me in a utopic society, away from all the other jackasses walking around mindlessly.....

If there is a way to escape this consumerist capitalist mindless drone society I'll find it.....
