Thread: What music are you all into?

i like listening to incubus, mostly because of their eclectic music and their lyrical content.. i find neo soul relaxing..(erykah badu, remy shand, amel larrieux)...

Matt Nathanson, Josh Kelley, Atmosphere, NERD, Ginuwine, Trust Company, Maroon 5, Dream Theater, Incubis, Staind, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Korn, Dave Matthews, Papa Roach, Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Trapt, A perfect circle, Default,Thursday, Smashing Pumpkins, Switchfoot, and much more 8)

Rock (Korn, Papa Roach, Staind, Godsmack, System of a Down), trance (Astral Projection, Fluke, The Future Sound of London) and hip hop (Eminem, Paktofonika). And whatever else that hits my mood at the time.

Korn, Papa Roach, Godsmack, and SoaD are nu-metal, not rock...

I don`t really care - I just like them. Anything with more guitars than electronics is rock for me. I know it`s ignorant but who cares about detailed genre?

Myself, I listen to Heavy Metal and Progessive Metal. Beyond that I listen to anything really, because I run a little request show out of my home that unfortunately requires me to play songs I'd rather destroy. But back on topic. My favorite bands are Metallica (Old, and a little of the new), Megadeth and NIN. Like Devin Townsend and want to listen to Symphony X to see if I'd like them. I like Classical too, but only when I write.

Edit: Oh yeah, and old Black Sabbath, and Skynard, and anything else that's generally 'old'. Also Slayer.

meh...why don't any of the n00bs like Emperor and Dimmu and bands like that? ;_;

I like some rock but mostly rap, hard or soft on either..

I like punk that sounds like punk without trying too hard to sound like punk. If that makes any sense.

I dislike punk that tries to sound like punk and fails miserably. I suppose pop-punk would be a good description. I can't name any bands off the top of my head, but they play (repeatedly and mercilessly) on the Musak station where I work.

Aaah, the good punk like NOFX. And the MisFits. 'n Rancid.
