Thread: Poison Ivy In The Bloodstream

ouch. that sucks, i've never had poison ivy before. i almost touched a poison ivy plant though, but my mom stopped me.

i got this mysterious cut on my wrist bone earlier today. i don't know how i got it. maybe it got cut by a poison ivy leaf?!

now the horse has a gunshot wound and broken legs
if it doesnt gett better tomarrow im going to shoot it again

I was on medication then had a major reaction.
I wasn't going to school or anything. I was swolen and I was red all over.

Lucky for me I'm actually immune to poison ivy.... I've touched it numerous times and not got itchy....

Exactly what is poison ivy? I've heard of it on tv and stuff but I don't know what it is. Must be an American thing I guess?

EDIT: Hey you know what, I learned something today... If you inhale the smoke of burning poison ivy you get the rash in the lining of your lungs..... That's wh you don't smoke poison ivy

Well if you've got any sort of toxin or infectious poison in a wound it can cause a red rashy stripe growing bigger slowly. This can eventually cause limbs to die and when it gets to the heart the Infectious Toxin will run through your entire body killing you very fast.

However this is no big deal. When you have such a wound, make sure it's open. If it's kinda closed already then make it bleed on the surface again. On the bleeding wound rap a wet sterilised bandage. The wet bandage will drain the infected blood out of the wound and it'll make the red stripe disappear.

Poison Ivy is of course poisonous.
And you get it from the chemicals INSIDE the leaf.
If the leaf is not cut, then you don't get it.
The cut can be as small as a little bug bite on it.
And it doesn't spread unless you wipe the chemicals on you.
That's why you wash the infected area immediately.

Awesome? Yeah - sounds like a real good laugh!

I'll try it some time.

If you guys read the Wiki page posted earlier, you'll see why you're "immune"--Poison Ivy apparently works through an allergic reaction of sorts--so you're just one of the rare few who aren't allergic.

Let me guess, massive quantities of Steroids and Antihistamines?

I am seriously alergic to that stuff and it really sucks since we have so much of it around where I live!

I haven't gone to the doc, Seek. I'm not a big fan. I've been riding it out.
I got it in a cut I already had while doing some land clearing a few weeks back.
