You go on ahead. Post us a picture when you get it done.
I really wish I could find the referenced pg 140. although looks like enough to start construction. My parents had this while I was growing up.... I guess that's why I still have the nasty habit. I just really, really loved playing with that bird. Dam that bird, now I see he was just plain evil.
wow...i bet a smoker would find that an excellent gift, especially if they were into things like that...
It may make a great gift for someone in China, where smoking trend seems to be on an up rise, especially among most males as per recent study statistics. I currently do not know anyone from there though.
Maybe I should revise the craft altogether…make it suit something for today, since it was issued in like 1938. Mmmmm...... wonder what the tar levels for Cigs. were back then. :teeth: <-yellow teeth (yummy)
I could look at re-designing this and post an enhanced design…any ideas for improvement?
I think it should supply something other than cigarettes. The bird needs some revision work too.
This really looks like some James Lileks stuff.
www.lileks.com (sorry I don't know how to add a link..help anyone?)
www.lileks.com
you have to put and round the text you want to make into a link.
To make it look like this: James Lileks stuff
type it like this (only without the spaces - I had to put in the spaces so it wouldn't hyperlink it):
[ url= www .lileks.com ] James Lileks stuff [ /url ]
Thanks Burns and Irish Cream.
another 'vintage' craft that's coming back in. Knitting! *drool*
I'm always knitting, even if it's only a scarf...
It's very therapeautic and relaxing, although when you are learning it can be a pain in the butt.
Or just add http://, e.g.: http://www.google.com. No [url] tags here, but it still works :)
