I agree. I think the only reason they did that was to procure an R-rating

Ok tonight I'm going to see the new matrix at the imax theater...this should be interesting. The only thing I've seen at imax was the mystery of egypt....I hope all the motion dose'nt get me sick.

Yeah, that will be intense on the eyes They never show regular movies at the imax theater here in San Diego. All they show are special shows like National Geographic type stuff made specifically for the imax format. Did they have to refit the movie for the imax showing?

ok I have to complain....the imax theater was'nt a total surround like I've seen at the science museum, and the movie was the worst yet!!!!Sorry doug if you liked it, I guess I just have different taste, but I think it had very little depth......I was hopeing for a clicher, and all that happened is what you expect to happen and it's still left open ended enough for a sequal....I guess I would'nt say dont waste your money because doug loved it, so maybe it's just me...I think the first one was awsome and I guess I expected things to get better....The first one made you think...the second one made you try to think, and the third one you dont have to think.

Yeah, but that's just because they gave you most of the answers in the third.

After awhile, you kind of just forget what he is there to do.

I liked it, I cant say it was exceptional, but I can say it was good.

I thought the Zion Dock scene with the mass of sentinals was well done...

It made me think, but im weird like that Love is just a word, the connection to that word is whats important.

lotsa stuff, but I wont get into any of it I wont be that guy =)

alright, so i saw the 3rd matrix last night, and i thought it was crap. in fact, i liked it least than the 2nd one, and i thought THAT was crap. i was annoyed by a great number of things, but mostly the fact that once they had established that premise, they could have taken that movie to much greater lengths than they did. i think it should have been a 3 hour finale; instead, it was a measly hour and 45 minutes. had they used that hour and 45 minutes wisely, then perhaps i wouldn't have minded, but they didn't so i do. and i felt the architect should have had a way more profound and memorable speech at the end instead of the 2 phrases he spat out.

      ahwell. life goes on eh?

Did any of you find it odd...

The most human character seemed to be Mr. Smith?

He showed the largest degree of emotion compared to the other characters... and he was a program.

      Or am I just looney.

I guess that indian faimly was suppose to show you that the matrix had evolved to the point of the programs having human emotion(their daughter being a useless program and being deleted)....but how did they get a daughter to begin with, I guess programs can reproduce?....I'm with icedawg and thought they could have done more...plus there are still questions....why would the machines allow neo to get rid of smith in exchange for peace....are the people of zion just going to allow ather humans to still be used as batteries?

Because Smith is the complete equal opposite of Neo, his negative. Like Neo he had the power to control everything. The machines and Neo knew that Smith would take over first the Matrix and then the machine world and destroy it all. They both knew a resolution of peace between each other was preferable to complete destruction. They said as much a few times in the film. And as for the batteries, again, they said that the people in the Matrix were released. Pay attention!

they said the people would be allowed to be released if they wanted to, but would agents still interfere...smith was'nt the opposite, because part of neo was in him.

From what I remember, after Neo first destroyed Smith back in the first film, he was brought back to 'balance the equation'. Neo is a mathamatical anomoly within the matrix spawned because of the choice people make to stay or leave the Matrix(according to the achitecht in Reloaded). Then if I remember right in Revolutions it went on to explain that Smith is the attempt to balance out the mathamatical anomoly within the equation of the matrix. Because of this he became too powerful because, out of neccesity to be a balance, he became the polar opposite of Neo (hence why Neo can't just fly inside of him and destroy his code like he didn't in the first film and also why he's able to leave The Matrix).
