Is this really what the human race has become? This is cruelty beyond words. I can't even imagine what the poor girl was thinking when she saw it. I'm surprised she even had enough of her mind stable to talk to the news.

:| I can't even begin to imagine the psychotic things people do to animals and other people. It's mind-blowing, really.
That has to be scary as all fuck. All I'm imaging is opening the box in curiousity, not quite making out what's inside, and then making out the object--seeing the lifeless eyes and deteriorating base of the head.
Hopefully the person responsible is caught quickly and given some form of therapy/help. Animal cruelty is often one the signs of an unstable mind, perhaps capable of murder.
Yeah, I'm trying to get into her head. I'm trying to put myself in her shoes. I can't even begin to imagine what must've shot through her head at that moment.
It's pretty disturbing, can't imagine how I would feel.
All though, this isn't the first/last time something like this has happened, so I don't think humanity has changed much. We still have some disturbing instincts.
Id like to touture and kill whoever did that for days and then throw them in a tub of hot oil.
I can't think of a reason why someone would do that. It's not quite right...
I don't see how the actions of one crazy person should be reflected upon the human race as a whole. Most people, I assume, are probably disgusted by it. But maybe it's not as bad as it seems; someone may have just struck the poor fella with a car, and decided to leave the remains to the owner for a proper burial...but wait that sounds stupid. Things are always as bad as they seem.
Oh my god. That is just so sad, and really really sick. :( How can someone hurt another living thing so, for no reason?
Wow, I'm so sadistic that this story puts a smile on my face.
I think in this case we can safely assume that the person who did it is a sick freak.Quote:

Yeah, I saw this story yesterday. That's fucked up. :|
This is just sad... this is so fucked up.
I know I've said this loads of times, but still:
I have now, officially, lost faith in the human race.
Really, we humans must be the only species in the world who could do such hideous things...
Or perhaps a performer since you had to tell everyone all about how funny it was to you.
don't listen at those statements... they're always exaggerated...
It are the current exaggerated emotions of the poster gathered into one posts... and it is posted before they even think rationally about them...
i like to call them "Mind farts"...
Wow thats evil I wish I didn't read that now. I couldn't imagine the pain she must've been in to find that. I can't even begin to feel what I would feel if that happened to my dog.
Hmm, the link doesn't work for me, what heppen? Apparently there is something sadisitc there? please fix, I'd like to see ...
It works for me. But here it is in quote:
Quote:
ST. PAUL, Minnesota (AP) -- A 17-year-old girl who spent weeks looking for her missing dog unwrapped a box left at her house and found the pet's severed head inside, authorities said.
Homicide investigators were looking into the case because of the "implied" terroristic threat, St. Paul Police Sgt. Jim Gray said. The Humane Society of the United States said Wednesday it was offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
"This was extraordinarily heinous," said Dale Bartlett, the Humane Society's deputy manager for animal cruelty issues. "I deal with hundreds and hundreds of cruelty cases each year. When I read about this case, it took my breath away. It's horrible."
After Crystal Brown's 4-year-old Australian shepherd mix, Chevy, wandered away last month, she put up "missing" posters in her neighborhood and went door to door looking for him. She called the St. Paul animal shelter and rode the bus there several times.
"I felt empty," Crystal told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis. "I couldn't talk to anyone. He was my dog. It was just me and him. ... I told him everything and he never shared any of my secrets."
Two weeks ago, a gift-wrapped box was left at the house Crystal shares with her grandmother. The box had batteries on top, and a note that said "Congratulations Crystal. This side up. Batteries included."
Crystal opened the box and found her dog's head inside. The box also contained Valentine's Day candy.
Crystal screamed when she saw her dog's face.
"She was just hysterical," said Crystal's grandmother, Shirley Brown. "She was screaming. She said, 'Grandma, it's my dog's head!'
"I said, 'no it can't be!"'
Authorities say the case is an isolated incident and the suspect likely knew the family. A motive is unclear.
"This was so cruel," Crystal said. "This is one sick, twisted person."
She now has a new puppy, another Australian shepherd. She's named it Diesel. "Hopefully, he'll be my best friend," Crystal said. [/b]
Or boil them in salt water for 2 weeks and let donkeys lick off their skin...
Whilst I would be horrified if it were my dog, and I can clearly understand the pain the little girl would have gone through, I'm still a bit of a cynic and I did see some humour in it. I mean, it's horribly mean and totally the wrong context, but I couldn't help it?
Like this one time, a house was burning down just up the road, and the old woman (who I hated completely and utterly as if she were Satan's hot she-male manwhore) who lived in the house burnt some of her hair off trying to save her dogs, and I laughed hysterically when I heard about. Everyone looked at me funny.
Me too, I lost faith a long time ago, especially coz I live in a country (and continent) where hideous things happen all the time. Like, men raping 3 month old babies, and beating old ladies to death with hammers. Seriously, a dead dog is mean, but it aint got nothing on some stuff in this place.
That's a good point. Kid's can be mean sometimes.
