Thread: Psychology

Psychology is very interesting! I took a psych course in college and we discussed dreaming among many many other things. My advice would be to take a course and see how you like it.. learning something in school can be very different from learning something on your own time and it won't always be rosy. For instance, the course I took was an introductory course but it was ridiculously difficult and basically discouraged most people from majoring in the subject.

I've just finished a year of psychology and I have found it very interesting an fun. I'd recommend that you do it.

Do all schools have the same way of deciding what you do at college? It's just I'v got this dodgy idea that the idiot staff members of my school are going to trick me into just doing I.T. or not properly going through it with me (Aka not telling me all the courses available, if there isn't loads)

I'm doing AQA psychology, if thats what you mean?

Abnormalities, Stress, Memory, Attachments, Social Psychology, Research Methods.

If you're not sure about the class, try asking others who have taken it what they think. Each college/university teaches it a little differently, so you just have to ask around.

And why would the staff members at your school "trick" you into taking courses you don't want to take? In college, you register for whatever classes you want. Counselors are there to provide you with the easiest/fastest way to achieve your degree by laying out a recommended plan of what classes to take and when to take them based on your major.

Well he's too much of a common stressy idiot that doesn't organize things well.

Psychology seems really interesting. Nothing is more fascinating then to know how the human brain and it's behavior works.

This is true

I've heard that although psychology is interesting some Universities don't credit for much, kinda like sociology is classed as a "joke" GCSE and A level by teachers at my school. I asked them about it and they since im quite bright i really should try something more acedemic, Universities will much to prefer it to sociology.

But their probably crazy.:p
