I dont know, but apparently In Native American teaching, a lizard is a symbol for dreaming and the vision quest. |

I was reading a book, and it transpired that something in the book said that lizards do not sleep - They merely are in a resting state. I am unsure if this is true, as I did a quick search on reptiles and REM sleep, and the results could not have been more vague. |

Yeah I found that interesting but have no idea if they do or not. I have a friend who is really into reptiles and would know. I will ask him next time I see him. |

I have studied Herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians) for 8 years and from what I know they DO sleep just not as heavy as us like most animals. Like all other animals in a colder place they sleep through the winter so I don't think this is true one bit I have 5 lizards of my own but 3 are nocturnal the other 2 sleep like any other animal. |
